I figured, whose death could cause the biggest, most heart-wrenching rift between Dipper and Stan? Wendy’s the obvious (and unfortunate) choice. Apart from Mabel, there isn’t anyone else whose death could cause Dipper to feel like his heart has been ripped out... Other reasons is that the emotional response it'll get from the viewiers. Like... characters like Wendy aren't supposed to die. They're too chill, too cool, too friendly. Wendy's death can't be justified, like say, Stan or McGucket. Those two are higher up on the "theorized death" list because they're old, they've got regrets, and they're more involved with the supernatural. Wendy dying would be the absolute worst tragedy. (tbh i dont want her to die either because it has a reminiscent feeling of the old girlfriend in the refrigerator trope :/ )
