Currently reading: Lock & Mori: Final Fall by Heather Petty. I have mixed feelings on the books, but overall they’re very enjoyable and I’d like to give Lock so many hugs.

Currently watching: Foodie Note on YouTube. It helps with stimming. But also: dumplings. So many dumplings.

Craving: I have 0 appetite right now and nothing really sounds good (the problem with staying with a family member who gets judgmental every time I eat something until the house is fixed). But if we can extend craving beyond the food sense...there’s a flat I’ve had my eye on and want more than I’ve ever wanted something before, but can’t afford it so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I shall remain pining.

Hmmm but there are so many to choose from.  *reaches into bag of names and pulls one at random* Going to go with my girl Donna Moss from The West Wing because the development from plucky secretary to chief of staff for the First Lady over 7 seasons while ALSO coming into her own as an individual and not settling and ultimately getting her man? *chef’s kiss*

003 | Give me a character & I will tell you

How I feel about this character:

-picks him up like a naughty cat and hugs him- He’s so naughty but I love him so much and I want him to be happy. <3

Any/all the people I ship romantically with this character:

Jim, obviously. Irene. Mary. Some Morans but not all. I could go for Greg. Also Janine. An rp partner of mine writes a very good Richard Brook (as a separate character), so in that one, single, confused pining circumstance I’m into it. 

My favorite non-romantic relationship for this character:

Either him and Mrs. Hudson or him and Mycroft. I love the complexity of his and Mycroft’s relationship–it feels like there’s a lot of history there and it means a lot of different things to each of them–but I also love how Mrs. Hudson acts so much like his mother, but doesn’t really seem to judge him? She’s supportive but not willing to just take his nonsense and he cares so much about her. <3

My unpopular opinion about this character:

I wish Sherlock’s growth hadn’t been handled with such an effort to make him more neurotypical. Maybe it’s just how I’m looking at it, but it feels less like character growth at times and more like “we’re covering up his less-desirable traits to make him more palatable but we’re not going to actually work for it or have his friends even try to understand him.” It feels like he’s channeling Jim at times and just wearing a mask.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon:

I wish they’d addressed his trauma after those two years away more than they did. Like…there was a quarter of an episode of him hearing things, two seconds of body aches, and…nothing? No addressing from other characters about what he went through, no addressing that his drug use is probably related to it; it feels like they just left him to spiral behind the scenes and it would’ve been nice to see him at least talking it through with someone or maybe someone trying to talk to him and him actively deciding he wanted to be left alone instead of it just feeling like it was just glossed over?

Favorite friendship for this character:

Mary. I love how well they understand each other and the lack of judgment between them, even (and especially) when one of them’s a wreck. They’re so good and I honestly wish they’d had more time together.

My crossover ship:

Favourite Colour: black, but also that shade of blue right between Prussian and midnight blue? Very deep, very dark, but very pretty. (Also, if I’m going to paint my nails, it’s usually this colour.)

3 Favourite Ships: currently, Reaver/HoBW, Sheriarty, and...idk, kinda alternates by the day. Either Solavellan or Moriadlock recently.

Lipstick or chapstick: I wear chapstick more often but I like lipstick more in general. Usually dark reds and purples or nude browns; sometimes black and greys.

Last song you played: Bach cello suite no. 5: gigue

Last Movie: The Stag (which is kinda ironic cuz I almost never watch comedies)

Currently Reading: I should be reading NaNo notes, but I’m actually finishing rereading @jamlocked‘s Not Until Then and then I’m going to start rereading @like-the-direction‘s Corpus Callosum.

2. Big spoon/Little spoon?

Both Jim and Jamie think they’re the big spoon; who’s more determined for it usually depends on the day and their mood. What they think doesn’t matter, though, because Sherlock’s a blanket and usually ends up sprawled over both of them in the middle of the night.

18. Who leaves little notes in the other’s one lunch? (Bonus: what does it usually say?)

None on them really strike me as the taking lunch somewhere type. They all seem like they’d either grab something from the kitchen or order a takeaway. Notes in the kitchen, however, are usually meant for Sherlock, either reminding him to eat (he tries, sometimes, but usually he just gets caught up in something and accidentally forgets again) or telling him to clean up his experiments (these he ignores because no). Lunchtime texts are often a thing for all of them, usually for making plans or just to chat. Sometimes the Ms will leave each other little notes regarding jobs that might overlap, but never where Sherlock will find them. 

29. one headcanon about this OTP that breaks your heart:

I feel like Sherlock was the last to realise Jim’s suicidal and, even after realising it, he just...refused to accept it. Of course Jim wouldn’t die or leave him; why would he?? Meanwhile Jamie’s got contingency plans and both her and Jim have probably had discussions about if he wants to get help, how to handle it if he /does/ go through with it, and what to do about Sherlock.
