Hooty Hoo from TBS! Today was such an unexpected, uplifting day! Our presentation location ended up being at the Turner Broadcasting Campus where we got to tour the studios and control rooms. After presenting on our Community Impact Challenge (CIC), we heard testimony from a school that attended. Come to find out, as a result of participating in CIC students empathy changed toward the communities they serve, they became more encouraged to seek social justice in their career fields, they expressed being able to actually practice leadership, the student group volunteered and became engaged with one of our partners Friends of Refugees, AND a student received an internship as a result of participating!!! To create a program from scratch that produces the intended impact such as this is HUGE!
