“  am  i  ?  ”   she’s  barely  said  more  than  two  words  to  him  all  night,   ‘  busy  ’   entertaining  herself  with  a  little  back  and  forth  with  some  guy  neither  of  them  know  all  that  well.   she  couldn’t  tell  you  his  name  even  if  she  tried.   maeve  would  be  less  inclined  to  think  he  was  jealous  if  it  weren’t  for  the  burning  gaze  she  felt  across  the  room.  maybe  if  he’d  admitted  to  it,   she  would’ve  felt  a  tad  more  guilty  of  what  she  was  about  to  say  next.  “  that’s  a  good  thing,  then.  ‘cause  i  was  just  letting  you  know  i’ve  got  somewhere  else  to  stay  tonight.  you  can  piss  off  whenever  you  feel  like.  ”

                    𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐄  𝐇𝐈𝐓  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐄  ,   and  harvey  is  acutely  aware  of  the  fact  that  he  is  currently  ALONE  .   he’s  never  been  a  fan  of  the  dark  ,   but  the  sun  is  long  set  ,   and  he’s  struggling  to  keep  himself  from  crying  .   rounding  a  corner  ,   he  collides  with  someone  ,  dropping  his  sketchbook  in  the  process  .   “  i  am  so  sorry  .  ”   kneeling  ,   reaching  for  the  book  and  ready  to  LEAVE  ...  but  .   slowly  looking  up  .   ah  ,   fuck  .   it’s  like  he’s  forgotten  how  to  breathe  .   that  tiny  voice  in  his  head  that  SCREAMS  at  him  to  go  radio  silent  is  activated  ,   but  the  part  of  him  that  missed  her  ,  that  dreamt  of  her  ...  it  wants  to  speak  .   but  he  can’t  ,   so  he  doesn’t  .   he  stays  there  ,   half  on  the  ground  ,   staring  at  her  .   𝐒𝐀𝐁𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐀  𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐋𝐋𝐌𝐀𝐍.

after  nights  of  them  both  swapping  between  the  couch  and  his  bed,  they’ve  come  to  a  stalemate.    the  thought  that  went  through  her  mind  about  being  able  to  settle  once  she  knew  she  wasn’t  robbing  him  of  his  own  bed  was  soon  proven  unhelpful  and  entirely  wrong.  maeve  was  now  more  restless  than  she  had  been  any  of  the  previous  nights,  aware  of  every  sound  and  movement  from  the  weighted  spot  next  to  her.   it’s  annoying,  that’s  all.  “  i  can  hear  you  breathing  down  my  neck.  ”   a  blunt  observation,  hushed  as  to  not  let  the  words  slip  passed  the  thin  walls  of  his  room.   “  can’t  you  do  that . . .  any  less  ?  ”

       "no,  it's  fine.  it's  good  to  be  passionate."  tessa  reassures,  though  the  sudden  expression  of  her  passion  did  surprise  the  warlock.  mostly  as  the  brunette  initially  had  misjudged  her  for  being  soft-spoken.  "is  there  anything  else  you'd  like  to  get  off  your  chest?  feel  free  to  rant  away."  

        clearly,  the  food  she's  prepared  is  in  no  way  as  glamorous  as  those  from  her  books.  mostly  because  she's  in  no  way  able  to  whip  up  a  victorian  feast  in  a  moment’s  notice.  even  if  she  is  no  stranger  to  the  kitchen.  however,  she  did  put  in  her  best  efforts  to  fill  the  wicker  basket  to  the  brim.  a  variety  of  tea  sandwiches,  potato  salad,  and  cheeses.  even  wine  and  fresh  fruit  for  dessert.  "i  would've  made  pigeon  pie,"  she  starts  in  jest,  referring  to  the  picnic  food  of  choice  in  emma.  casting  a  glance  his  way  as  her  hands  delicately  lay  out  the  contents  of  the  basket  onto  the  plaid  blanket.  "but  i'm  afraid  the  grocery  store  was  fresh  out  of  pigeon  today.  so  we'll,  sadly,  have  to  settle  with  a  more  american  spread."  /  @lcvespclls​

    tessa  stops  mid-sentence,  a  wide  smile  promptly  gracing  her  features.  his  words  always  seem  to  give  her  pause.  from  absurd  to  boastful  to  sentimental,  tessa  has  grown  fond  of  every  halt  to  her  thoughts  he  causes.  she  closes  the  book  she  was  reading  aloud,  using  her  finger  as  a  bookmark,  and  moves  it  to  her  side.  looking  down  at  him,  his  head  resting  in  her  lap,  she  uses  her  free  hand  to  brush  his  hair  out  of  his  face.  fingers  lingering  in  his  tangled  ink  black  locks.  "you  are  the  home  i've  always  wanted...  one  that  i  often  wished  for,  but  thought  was  inconceivable."
