She said you always look at pink when passing through the flower shop during your dates. She mentioned you stare at the azaleas and begonias, when you had not a single clue those were even their names.

She said you always choose strawberry ice cream when you're both walking outside on a hot day.

She said you always want to stop and check the flamingos at the zoo, or that you always seem to slow down your step when you glance at the rhodonites on a crystal shop.

And she's absolutely right. You always look at the azaleas, because every time, you remember how her eyes sparkled when you gave her a bouquet of something you thought so simple, yet she found so fascinating.

You always choose strawberry, because on your first date, she brought you to the nicest ice cream shop you had ever gone to and haven't forgotten the taste since.

You always stop to see the flamingos, because the pink in their feathers reminds you of the pink in her eyes, and you always check the rhodonites, because you keep thinking of that ring you want to get for her soon.

You might not have had a favourite color before, but when she points it out for you, you nod. She's right, pink is your favourite color. It has to be, when it reminds you so much of her.
