A review for Every Last Breath by @jennifer_l_armentrout . . The series is over. The ending was like a dream come true and totally worth all the emotional turmoil. Ok so here goes... Layla has a lot of important choices to make, choices that may either save the world or destroy it and also she has to choose who she's in love with, Zayne or Roth. She does make that choice very soon and I'm so happy with her choice. At the same time I'm really upset for the way things ended with the other one. Other than this the bigger problem here is that the lilin is running loose and killing people and taking their souls. If not stopped the Alphas would come in and wipe out both Wardens and Demons which will lead to the early on set of the apocalypse. Layla is the only one who can kill him but there is heavy price to pay. So you see difficult choices. Now for the characters.... Layla had a good development. She's more confident, way stronger than before, a total badass and she's also a person who would sacrifice herself to save the one she loves and the world of course. I now see Roth in a totally new light. He not the bad boy, selfish jackass... Eeeh no.. he's still that but he's very protective, thoughtful, loving, caring, supportive... Then he's so powerful, he's the crown Prince of hell so duh... I'm totally drooling. Zayne, my dear sweet cinnamon roll Zayne. He's absolutely gorgeous in and out. Like he's so supportive, protective, responsible, loving, caring, sweet and brooding. God I love him. I never really liked Abbot, Zayne's father and the leader of the DC clan, he raised Layla as his own but never accepted her, always judged her and because of his prejudice he almost executed Layla, if it wasn't for Dez and Nicolai, she would've been dead. But, in the end he died protecting her. I was so shocked by the way he sacrificed himself to protect Layla. Zayne hasn't even recovered yet from the loss. Uuhhuhh my heart is aching. A review for White hot kiss by @jennifer_l_armentrout . . White hot kiss is the first book in The Dark Elements trilogy by Jennifer L Armentrout. In this series the fight between good and evil rages on with Gargoyles aka the Wardens on one side and the demons on the other. Layla our female protagonist is half Warden, half demon, is stuck somewhere in the middle trying her best to be normal. Layla is completely loyal to her warden adoptive families still she has trouble fitting in. She has the ability to see soul, which she can also take just by a single kiss(so she actually can't kiss anybody with a soul), she can also recognise demons and tag them. She helps the Warden by tagging demons and helping them kill them. Then walks in Roth aka the Prince of hell, who saves her from a demon attack and is on a mission to stop the a certain horde of demons from coming loose on earth and forwarding the date of the impending apocalypse. Layla plays a key role in the demon uprising now she has to choose where her loyalties lie and look at demons in a new light. White hot kiss is definitely entertaining and fun.
