ây/n! open the door!â -johnny, banging on the door
âno! your bed is more comfortableâ -you

Some fluff for Anthony Iâm literally in love with him maybe Lawrence reader and everyone finds out about their secret relationship including Daniel Johnny and Amanda
(Unedited) (Support The Writerđş) (Anthony & Reader are in Highschool because I said so because they go to school with the others, Lawrence!Chubby!Reader,Soft Kissing, Secret Dating,Fluff & Angst, Sneaking Out, Sam is a Snitch,Robby Probably Knew, Johnny trying to be a supportive Dad.)
Reader couldnât help but giggle a little, her cheeks felt all flushed and warm. Getting into Anthonyâs room was a bit of a task. Scaling the LaRusso house and getting up to the roof could be pretty, hard especially at night. There was barely any light other then from the windows.ďżź
But sneaking out late at night was the only way for her and Anthony could meet up that week.
Between her father and Anthonyâs parents it was hard to meet up in person or face time. Their secret texting only got them so far. The urge to see each other was constant. The only time they got to see each other was at school or when they got to glaze at each other from afar at the dojo. On the rare occasion they meet up for secret dates around town.
It didnât help that their siblings where also constantly on them. Both Robby and Sam would periodically ďżźcheck in on them. Better known as snoop around to keep a eye on the two of them. The teens knew that their older siblings would sneak into their rooms and look around time to time. So far after months of dating in secret, neither of them seemed to have found out about the secret relationship.
Anthony rolled his eyes as he helped pull his girlfriend in into his room from his bedroom window. He couldnât help the small smirk that pulled on his lips as she finally climbed all the way in. He helped her stand up and shut his window again. He whispered out âYou really have to stop doing that. One day Sam or my parents are going to hear you.â Reader groaned as she flopped onto his soft bed. Her eyes looking over at him as he just sighed and sat down next to her
There was a long pause as they just sat on the bed together thinking. They both had such a hard time keeping the relationship they had a secret, especially for so long. It was madness trying to keep it hidden away from everyone to see.
But it always came down to one simple thing that caused them to not want to come out about their romantic feelings towards each other.
Reader was a Lawrence.
Anthony was a LaRusso.
It was a ticking time bomb waiting to explode if they where to tell everyone they where dating.
âI wish we didnât have to do all this, sneaking around and stuff. I thought sneaking around was supposed to be fun and exhilarating. This just sucksâŚâ Reader said as she scooted over on the bed to lay her head in his lap. Anthony slowly blinked as he looked down at her. Eyes half lidded as he watched her face fall. He picked at her hair, twirling a lock of her hair between his fingers.
âI donât like it either but you saw how my parents and your parents acted the last time our families got romantic with each other. Maybe we can wait another year or two or-â
âI donât want to wait, I want everyone to know that I have a hot boyfriend named Anthony LaRusso, gaming badass and karate dude. I canât keep acting like Iâm single when Iâm not. Itâs so hard acting l-like we arenât a thing.â This was one of the only times that Anthony had seen his girlfriend act like this. In the months of meeting her and dating her, he had never seen her this upset.
He had never seen Reader Lawrence on the verge of crying. It made his stomach flip and his heart hurt. His usually strong headed tough girlfriend has tears welling in her eyes. Her hand slowly moved to grasp his. Her soft lips kissing his fingertips.
âI want to be able to hold my girlfriends hand in public. I want to be able to throw a arm over her when Iâm sitting during a break at training. I want to kiss her in front of everyone when ever I want to.â He felt this chest start to tighten just a little âJust give me a little more time to think of a way to tell them ok? Please.â Reader clenched her eyes shut trying to magically suck up her tears. He didnât let her do that for long as he whipped them away with his thumb. She gave a soft smile before pulling him closer.
Their lips meet in a sweet and soft kiss. It was simple and passionate. Light and airy almost. His thumb rubbed over her soft cheek, her hand laced gently though his dark curls. Lips moving together in a sweet rhythm. They where fully embraced into each other.
They didnât even hear the door to Anthonyâs room open.
All they heard was the loud gasp that had them separating in a split second. Eyes going wide as they stared at the open door.
Sam LaRusso stud in the door way with a shocked expression, mouth open and eyes wide as she looked at the two teens. What ever words they had in their minds where lost on their tongues. Both of them in complete shock of being caught by the boys older sister.
âAnthony!! Mom! Dad!â
Anthony didnât even have time to shove Reader off of his lap by the time his parents showed up.
With a unexpected newcomer.
âDad why are you here!!â
âYou donât get to ask that! Why the hell are you here Reader?! Your supposed to be at the apartment with Robby!â
Johnny yelled as he pushed past Daniel and Amanda. Reader shoot up and pushed herself away from Anthony on the bed. She was quick to try and lock her kneeâs together to look more prepared. Taking a deep breath she looked up at her dad who was basically fuming now. His blue eyes digging holes into hers. Looking like he was about not snap.
Daniel doesnât look as mad but Amanda is close to the same point as Johnny. Daniel has a eyebrow raised and Amanda is tapping her foot, Sam is still a bit in shock at what she just found going on in Anthonyâs room.
âWe have been gone for less then two hours and you decided to sneak in a girl- Reader at that.â Daniel says in a questioning tone. Amanda looks at her son in a box of anger and sadness. Clearly seeing what was about to go down now that the two teens had been caught.
Johnny whips back around and points a finger at Daniel and then to Anthony âHey thatâs my kid! I bet your mcjunior ďżźson tricked my daughter into coming here. Trying to pick a fight? Reader did he do anything to you?! Did that little prick put a hand on you!â
âDad no stop!â
âThatâs definitely not what was happening when I walked in.â Sam snorted making everyone look at her. She put her hands up In defense.
âAnthony what where you two doing in here when Sam walked in.â Amanda said with her arms crossed.
âI was⌠I was kissing my girlfriend when Sam walked in.â Anthony exclaims as he looks up to his mom with a small frown. ďżź He really didnât expect to be telling his parents about this tonight. ďżź he thought that they could get away with it for just a little while longer. Clearly they couldnât with the turn of events. ďżź
Reader quickly takes his hand in hers and gives it a soft squeeze. Looking over he finds her smiling over at him, relief starts to flood over him. Maybe this wasnât the worst timing after all. ďżź
They both look up to their parents.
âSam did you know about this??â
âI had no idea! And I admit to going though his stuff before and I didnât find anything. I canât believe heâs even dating anyone in the first place.â
Johnny is pacingďżź the room at this point as he tryâs to cope with the new information. He scratches at the back of his head âHow long has this been going on? Does Robby know about this?â Reader sighs saying â Weâve been going out for a few months now, and from my knowledge, Robby has no idea about us going out together. We didnât want anybody to know in the first place because of this exact reaction.â She huffs at her father.
The room was silent after that for a while.
No one dare make a sound.
âAre you guys actually that made over this? That Iâm dating a Lawrence?â
Amanda was the first one to reply back, quickly sitting next to Anthony. She took his free and hand patted it in hers.
âYou really thought we would be upset just because your dating Johnnyâs daughter? Is that why you two where hiding?â
Reader nods âWe thought all of you would be upset about us dating each other because of what happened after Robby and Sam where together. Half of the time you guys couldnât stand be near each other when the topic came up. We thought it would be the same with us so we just kept it a secret.â
Johnny groaned as he sat down next to his daughter.
âMaybe Iâm a little pissed that your dating a LaRusso but still, you shouldnât have felt like that. I just want to know your safe. If dating a shitty LaRusso makes you happy then so be it.â He tries his best in his own way to comfort ďżźhis daughter. He puts a hand on the back of her head and gives her a quick kiss to the temple before pulling away. He ruffles her hair, she tears up a little as she goes and hugs her dad.
âItâs okâŚIâm not mad.â He rubs her back harshly for a few seconds.
âSam you suck by the way.â
âWhat!? What did I do!?â
The rest of the night was filled with chaos as they talked everything out.
The whole time Reader and Anthony held each others hands.
Robby: âListen man I donât think your going to like my sister. She can be a little much at times.â
Hawk: âOhhh ok Keene, Iâm sooo scared of your twin sister- sheâs going to have me shaking in my boots! Yeah right fuck off man.â
Miguel: âI for one agree with him. His twin is kinda scary some times. Imagine Sensei but just a little shorter, big tits and not afraid to punch you directly in the balls.â
Lawrence!Reader walks into the dojo and drops her stuff on the floor, phone held to her ear: âWhen I see you Iâm going to rip that tiny dick of yours off your body, then throw it into a blender, then force feed it down your fucking throat! Suck my dick!!â
Hawk: âThe urge to go home is creeping into my mind right about nowâŚâ
Miguel: âAaaandddd I told you so.â
Robby: âI have to live with that, I tried to warn you.â
Lawrence!Reader walks over to them before looking Hawk up and down: âSo you must be âHawkâ Iâm guessing?? Your my training partner for today, my dad said so. Letâs get this over with. I didnât even want to be here today.â
She walks off towards the locker room leaving the boys watching her leave.
Hawk: âSheâs going to rip my dick clean off.â
Robby: âClean off my guy.â
Miguel: âIâll visit you in the hospital donât worry.â
Omg! Please! As soon as Lawrence!Reader is strapped down on the car, Robby and Miguel think they're in the clear, but then she starts babbling on about how God knows what!
Bonus points if it's shit neither of them want to hear nor should know about lol
- and anxious gemini bound to get her wisdom teeth out
(Unedited) (Blood,Spit, Lawrence!Reader donky-konging Miguel and Robby in the dentist parking lot because she can, Miguel regrets trying to help, Robby wants to escape his violent sister for once.) ( @gemini-sensei )
âI hate you the mostttt- you and your fucking lush baby curls.â Reader said though a full mouth of cotton balls.
Her hands where stuck under her ass in the seat in hopes of keeping them to herself for the ride. Robby actually grimaced as he watched his sister from the front seat. It took over twenty minutes to even get her into the van and another ten to actually get her strapped in. The whole time she tried to drag them into the van and slam them against the hard plastic of the walls. She was able to smash Robbyâs face into a window and then body slam Miguel into one of the back seats, knocking the air out of him.
Getting the Lawrence girl into a car after having her wisdom teeth removed seemed to be almost impossible.
Even with the help of Miguel it was still a challenge.
Miguel being called to help was a long shot. Bring Hawk would have been a nightmare, Demetri would probably never shut up, and Sam would be to worried. None of them would have been able to help try and corner the girl. She was still very loopy from the mass amount of drugs the dentist pumped into her. That did nothing to stop her from having her usual violent outbursts. If anything it only made her more unpredictable. Honestly it was scaring the hell out of Robby. And she was his sister at that.ďżź
Miguel was the only choice he really had.
Robby tried his best to ignore the gross red blood tinted drool that threatened to escape her lip. She looked at him but he couldnât tell if she was looking at him or though him.
âDonât you fucking dare-â was all he was able to get out before Reader blew a fat bloody spit bubble his way. Miguel sat in the passenger seat in pure disgustďżź. Watching the girl blow blood at them out of spite was one of the grossest things he had ever seen. He could handle a little bit of blood, but this was just nasty.
âYou let them fucking steal my teeth you assholes. Iâm going to steal your teeth.â She slurred before looking out the window. Her eyes glazed over , still loopy from the laughing gas and pain meds the dentist had given her. All of them jay sat in silence. The only sound was the ac going in the car.
Miguel slumped in the seat, slinging down in a heap. His eyes slowly moved to look over at Robby âWho thought this was a good idea? Letting you of all people take her home after getting her wisdom teeth take out.â Robby basically growls out âYou already know who. Johnny didnât want to do it because he didnât want to hear her whining after the meds slowly started to seep out of her system!â Miguel slowly turned his head. His eyes locking with the dirty blonde.
His eye twitched a little in annoyance âHave you meet your sister? Sheâs a fucking hardass who likes picking fights. You thought she was going to be quiet after they got her high off her ass on pain killers?? Her teeth are gone dude. You think sheâs happy.â Reader kicked at the back of Robbyâs seat, soon turning to Miguelâs to do the same thing.
âPay attention to me!!!â Reader whined from the back seat. Her hands still stuck under her butt as she looked at the two boys. Soon her eyes started to well up with tears. Both boys looked at each other for a split second. That was all it took before Reader was crying in the back seat, fat tears rolling down her chubby cheeks and red spit spilling down her chin. It dripped onto her thick thighs and stained her pants. Her chest hiccups with sobs as the minutes tick by.
Both guys freeze up as the violent and shit talking girl they know crys. Not even Robby can remember the last time he witnessed his sister cry over something. Maybe when they where kids as she fell at the skate park. Scraping her knee so bad it scared over.
Miguel wanted to hide away and get as far as possible. Reader crying was not on his too do list what so ever. Her crying had to be some kind of bad sign of some kind. He looked to Robby for some kind of plan.
âHey itâs ok, why donât we go get some ice cream? You always like ice cream, and it might make you feel a little better.â Robby says in hopes of calming her down.
âWhat if I call Tory and ask her if she wants to come over and play some video games with you? You love it when Tory comes over to hang out. I bet she would love to come over today.â Miguel thinks on his feet.
Reader slowly starts to calm down. Her heavy sobs start to slow but her lips still tremble. Eyes puffy and hot form the salty tears. Cheeks hot and flustered. Robby quickly grabs a hand full of napkins from the glove box. With them in hand he reaches back and gently wipes the mix of drool and bloody spit from his sisters face. She doesnât do much and just lets him.
âOkâŚâ she says in a defeated tone of voice. Big eyes find their way to her brothers.
âCan Tory come for ice cream too?? Please??â She whimpers as she falls back into her seat. Slumping back and finally showing some sign of defeat.
Sam: âNo way! Robby has never mentioned having sister let alone a twin. You are so lying.â
They both watch as she grabs a granola bar for her bag and rips into it like a animal. A moment later one of the other students walks past her, she smirks before pushing her foot out and tripping the poor kid. She tryâs not to laugh but it fails ďżźas she obnoxiously laughs out loud.
Lawrence!Reader: âFucking pussy ass dork.â
Sam: âOoohhhhhâŚâ
Miguel: âYep now you see it. Itâs Johnny 2.0 but with likeâŚa pussyâŚand tits⌠and ass-â
Sam: âOk I get it! Sheâs definitely Johnnyâs kid. Just looking at her for two seconds and I can see the borderline copy that she is to that man.â

@gemini-sensei, I cant stop thinking about rag-tag cocky, female carbon copy of Johnny Lawrence!Readerđł
I literal can't get ride of the idea of her being a tall, huge mini version of Johnny.
Personality wise she's just like him, cocky and ego filled, foul-mouthed, willing to go headfirst into a fight for little to nothing. She makes the nastiest ~ comments ever.
Physical she is tall, with wide shoulders, chubby, and jacked. She shows off but still shies away from people a lot. In her mind âeveryone pisses me off one way or another.â
(Love the idea of S1 Miguel being kinda scared of her but then over time becomes like a best friend to her because she is basically just a girl version of Johnny. He sticks up for her a lot when she's not around, because he thinks she's cool.)
warnings: itâs tagged #long post, so donât give me shit about the keep reading button. for the millionth time, it doesnât work on my posts. also alcohol lmao
a/n: hi anon, iâll do the basics of this request (being robby x sister!reader), but please read my rules more carefully. i dont take random dialogue prompts and i donât care for âangst with some fluffâ in requests
prompt: anonymous: âokay so can i please request a robby keene x sister!reader (head canon) with the prompt of âyou could have died what were you thinking?â angst but fluff in the end!!â
not getting along with robby very wellâŚever

âlike dadâs any better. drinks beer all day and pisses in the hallway, real niceâ -robby
âdoes mom even have a job?â -you
âwhy do we always do this?â -robby
âit was your idea to hang outâ -you
skating together
and talking about your daily lives

âthey sound like creeps to me. how old are they?â -you
ânone of your businessâ -robby
him convincing you to visit with your mom, but he would NEVER visit johnny. never.

âback off, man. sheâs not interested in you, trust meâ -robby
âi can stick up for myself, robbyâ -you
although you pretty much never got along, i guess you still cared about each other
in your own special way
robby: I left a bag of In n Out at your door since I figure dad doesnât have anything in his fridge
y/n: well, youâre right about that. thanks.
every once in a while youâd suggest he lived with you guys
âi mean, dad still has your room open. itâs a little messy, but weâd clean it if you ever decided to come overâ -you
âiâm fine where i am. plus, momâs house doesnât have a lot of rulesâ -robby
âoh, yes, it must be so great wasting your time doing drugs and ripping people off instead of getting an education. go mom.â -you
telling your dad about how your mom is running her house and your dad beginning to want robby with him and you
âit doesnât surprise me, your mom was never the âauthorityâ typeâ -johnny
âiâm gonna pretend you didnât say thatâ -you
joining cobra kai when your dad started it up and asking robby to join
which didnât work out very well since he joined miyagi-do, run by your dadâs arch nemesis. couldnât be a coincidence
and then your brother tried to convince you to join him instead
âyou must be pretty dumb if you think iâd betray dad for youâ -you
your dad always grilled you about robby and how he was doing
you got in a few arguments with robby during all of this and up until the tournament
and the thought of fighting him at the tournament was scary as all hell
âyeah? donât think you can handle me?â -miguel
ânot exactlyâ -you, making eye contact with your brother across the room
running to the guys locker room when he gets injured
âmaâam you canât be in hereâ -paramedic

âreal nice teammates you haveâ -daniel

âyeah, i think so. and iâll give diaz hell for you. even though i could tell you threw that fightâ -robby
âdid notâ -you
âyou could have easily won that fight, i was watchingâ -robby
âyeah, yeah, whatever. good luck out thereâ -you
daniel wasâŚsurprised by you to say the least
âseems like she cares about youâ -daniel
âmore or lessâ -robby
silently cheering him on, despite the fact he was up against your dojo
âhow was he?â -johnny
âheâs alright, his shoulderâs just a little messed upâŚsaid he knew i threw the match with miguel, thoughâ -you
âhaha, you got found out. you should have just gone for it, you could have gone up against your brotherâ -johnny
âthatâs exactly why i let myself get eliminatedâ -you
giving robby a hug after he lost
âyou did pretty good, robby. maybe next yearâ -you
âthanks, uh, weâre gonna goâ -robby
âright, okay. take it easy. love youâ -you âand bye mr. larussoâ -you, bowing
robby and you didnât talk for a little while and you were a little sad about, but you wanted to give him space
and after a while, you found out that he was living with daniel larusso
and your mom was missing
a lot of troubling information
ârobby, why didnât you call us? we would have let you stay with us in a heartbeatâ -you
âyeah right, you havenât texted or called me in over a monthâ -robby
âdude, i was trying to give you some space, i thought you were pissed off at meâ -you
completely forgetting about that and going on a rant about your mom and how irresponsible she was and how you hated the way she treated her kids and her addictions and everything else
just letting it go that robby lives with daniel because you were glad he was getting on the right track in life
âjustâŚdude. call me or something when you have a problem. i know we donât always get along, but i donât want you to think i wouldnât give a shit if you were living alone without power. at least call me if you hear from mom. i donât like that itâs been this long without hearing from herâ -you
âalright, fine. i can live with thatâ -robby
by this point, none of the dojo knew you and robby were siblings
but you got in a few spats with him after hearing that cobra kai attacked miyagi-do
âwhat were you guys thinking?! stop going after them for no reason! youâre just making things worse!â -you
âthey trashed us on yelp! we had to do something!â -hawk
âare you even hearing yourself? do you know how stupid you sound?â -you
it caused a bigger rift between you and robby
and when they found out that robby was your brother, they were pissed off at you and johnny
âso you threw that match at the all-valley because you didnât want to go against your brother?â -miguel
âyeah, and what about it?â -you
âthatâs not very âcobra kaiâ of youâ -hawk
robby refusing to return your messages until your mom resurfaced
y/n: can i please come over? no cobra kai, just me for a family thing
robby: Mr. LaRusso says itâs okay, hereâs the address
you showed up pretty quick
and after talking to your mom about her plan for rehab, you felt pretty good about everything
âyou okay?â -you
âi mean, not great, but iâm glad sheâs gonna try to get betterâ -robby
âare, uh, you and larussoâs daughter dating?â -you
âshhhut up. shut up. stop talking. donât let him hear youâ -robby
âoh, my god, robby. thatâs a horrible idea! youâre dating her behind his back?!â -you, whisper screaming
meanwhileâŚ
âso, thatâs robbyâs sister? she doesnât seem so badâ -amanda
âno, she doesnât. sheâs not like the other cobra kais. and she really cares about robby. apparently, she hates shannon, thoughâ -daniel
âi mean, she has every right. look how she left robby. addict or not, thereâs no excuseâ -amanda
she seemed to think you were okay
eventually you left and didnât hear much of anything from robby until the party. which wasâŚa rough night
you hung out with him for a little while, apologized for the past few months, you cried a little, decided to go socialize with others
light drinking, nothing as bad as sam larusso, though
which went very downhill when the cops came
ây/n, is there any way we can stay with you and dad tonight? sam canât go home like this, she just canâtâ -robby
âi, uhâyeah, okay. come on, letâs goâ -you âyou can take my room, or your old one. she can borrow my old pajamas, too, just let me call dadâ
you explained it all to johnny
âhe asked you if he could come over?â -johnny
âyeah, so be cool about itâ -you
âwait, were you drinking too?â -johnny
âa few beers, it was a party, after all. itâs not like i donât sneak your beersâ -you
âi knew that was you! i thought i was going crazyâ -johnny
you knew itâd be a bad idea, though, and you were proved right when you hear someone banging on your front door
you, robby, and sam all looked terrified
and in a crazy, inevitable turn of events, robby finally lived with you and your dad
which didnât last long after a fight broke out at school and robby completely disappeared an hour later
it took some time, but robby was found and arrested, which broke your heart enough for you to go visit your mom in rehab
âyou know, iâm really proud of you for keeping yourself on the right path all these years. iâm just sorry i wasnât there for youâ -shannon
âhave you been able to visit robby yet?â -shannon
âno, they wouldnât let me without a parent and since dadâs on parole, iâm screwed. but iâm gonna call himâ -you
âsorry i canât be of more help, i just couldnât go somewhere like that right nowâ -shannon
âno, itâs okay. i understandâ -you
obviously by now youâd been phased out of cobra kai
and an enemy of kreese
âkeene, you have a phonecallâ -juvie officer
âhello?â -robby
âhey, itâs y/n. iâm really sorry that i canât visit, i tried, they just wonât let me in without a parentâ -you
âwhy canât mom or dad take you?â -robby
âdadâs on parole and mom canât leave rehab without the risk of relapse. i hope itâs okay iâm callingâ -you
âno, itâs fine. iâm glad you didâ -robby
âhow are you? iâm sure it sucks in there, but are you at least safe?â -you
âiâve gotten into a few fights, but i can hold my own. is, uh, howâs miguel? is dad mad at me?â -robby
âmiguelâŚitâs complicated. but i donât think dadâs mad at you. heâs worried more than anything. and disappointed that he lost you so soon after you moved inâ -you
sam contacting you against her fatherâs wishes to ask about robby
you ended up having a mini breakdown about him tbh
and all the cobra kai bullshit you were no longer participating in, but once things settled, you and your dad had the honor of founding (not your choice of name) eagle fang
and when robby got out, you were sort of shunned? just because you still associated with daniel and johnny. which really sucked for you after all the effort you made to let him know you were there for him.
it was a shock when you found out he was holed up in cobra kai, you even had to fight it out with him while johnny and kreese did the same
âafter all this bullshit, youâre gonna choose cobra kai? is this just to get back at dad?â -you
âheâs never there for me! heâs always there for you! and miguel! what about me?!â -robby
âso youâre gonna let dad get in the way of our relationship? you keep trying to push me away and for what?! your daddy issues?!â -you
parting ways with robby and starting anew with danny and johnnyâs combined dojos, but you almost didnât want to. itâd be easier to just give up
but you kept on working for this tournament, it was the best way to go about it
until you heard there were separate brackets for the boys and girls, meaning you couldnât fight your brother this time
but it might have been for the better
you were dying not being able to talk to robby, he dodged all your messages and calls. you even went to your momâs apartment and he wouldnât come see you
but by the tournament, you were full of rage from this family feud.
the only reason you didnât go all the way to the finals was because you went up against sam, who needed to finish things with tory
âitâs okay. i threw my fight last year, i can do it again. you need thisâ -you
âthanks, y/n. for everythingâ -sam
cheering her on and being there for her when she lost
âitâs so weird noticing the similarities in you and robbyâ -sam
âyeah, weâre both assholes, for sureâ -you
âboth pretty funny, tooâ -sam
leaving with your dad to go home and noticing the old dojo is gone
and finding robbyâer, robby finding you when you got there
and watching him seem to make up with your dad
ây/n, get in hereâ -johnny, with both him AND robby extending their arms to you
group hug :)
letâs hope everything turns out okay after this. please.
a/n: this was such a random idea but im a stupid cobra kai fan and i had to write it my brain said so.
prompt:
Moonâs party was a bust. Scratch thatâbusted. Itâs like there were no rivalries when everyone scattered. Your Cobra Kais, the Miyagi-Dos, and everyone in between. But as you tried to make your escape, your estranged brother grabbed you by the arm. âY/N, I need your help.â Words youâve been waiting for since you could remember. Held in his other arm was his girlfriend, Sam, looking as if she was about to fall over. You called it at the beginning of the party when you caught sight of her âfriendlyâ competition with Tory.
âYeah, what do you need?â You asked while leading them away from the heat.
âCan we crash at Dadâs? She canât go home like this.â You looked over at her eyes that seemed to be begging and nodded in agreement, taking them away to their safe haven. It was a decent ways awayâa few bus stops, at leastâbut when you finally got home, your dad was waiting up for you.
âHi, DadâŚI brought friends.â You smiled after he opened the door for you three. You shuffled in with the rest of them and Johnny pulled you aside into the kitchen while your brother and his girlfriend waited in the living room.
âWhat is LaRussoâs daughter doing here?â He whisper-yelled at you.
âAre you familiar with the term, âdrunk?ââ You gave him the smart-ass reply and he buried his face in his hands to groan. âItâs Robby, okay? I had to help him out. I know you would help him in a heartbeat, too.â
âYes, I know, youâre right. Always right.â He sighed, throwing his head back and trying to hash this out in his head. âOkay, I can deal with this.â Johnny walked over to his son and brought them down the hall. âYour old room is pretty much untouched, she can stay in there for tonight. But youâre gonna have to stay somewhere else, this already looks bad as it is.â He explained as they got Sam situated, but as soon as her head hit the pillow, she was out like a light.
âRobby can take my room, itâs fine.â You offered and pointed the across the hall. âI can take the couch for tonight.â
âYou sure? I could sleep on the couch, Iâm used to it.â Robby said and you pat him on the back.
âExactly why Iâm taking it.â You grabbed a change of clothes from your drawer and left him be. After a quick shower, you found your dad waiting for you on the couch. âCan I help you with something?â You rubbed your wet hair off with a t-shirt and threw it on the table.
âWere you drinking tonight?â Johnny asked, giving you a strange fatherly look as he leaned his elbows on his knees.
âA little bit, no where near what the princess downed.â You shrugged your crossed arms and waited for him to make his point.
âI thought you knew better.â He told you and you cracked a smile at the comment, sitting down beside him.
âCome on, Dad. It was a party, I had a few beers. Thatâs all.â You assured him, which he seemed to get, but still wasnât happy. âItâs not like itâs an everyday thing, how often do you see me go to parties? At least Iâm not stealing your beer from the fridge anymore.â
âI knew that was you!â Johnny pointed at you. âHad me thinking I was going crazy.â You both laughed together a few moments, letting it die down slowly. âItâs alright, I trust you not to make the same mistakes as me and your mom. Just promise me youâll keep on the right track.â
âI promise.â You told him and he stood up from the couch.
âGood. Well, since tonightâs your last Saturday before school starts, you can stay up a little while. Watch some TV or something. Iâll see you in the morning.â Johnny said goodnight and headed for his room. Once you heard the door close, you turned the TV on and threw a blanket over your shoulders, relaxing after a crazy-ass night. You flipped through channels a while until a dark figure appeared from the hallway, you squinted to check who it was.
âRobby?â You asked as he stepped into the light of the television screen and looked at what you were watching.
âIs that Roseanne? What is with you guys and the 80s.â Robby half-joked as you scooted up and brought your legs to your chest.
âOkay, Swayze,â you middle-named him, âwhat do you want?â You asked and pat the couch cushion beside you.
âJust couldnât sleep. Ever get so tired that youâre not tired anymore?â Robby sat beside you and you turned the volume down a few notches.
âYeah, all the timeâŚyouâre also probably nervous about Samâs dad, am I wrong?â For a sibling who never really grew up near their brother, you still knew him pretty well. Maybe it was a sibling thing, maybe he was just easy to read, but you cared about him enough to want to help.
âMaybe a little. I mean, he let me live with them when Mom disappeared, he taught me karate, stopped me from burning out. I owe a lot to him, but I let his daughter get drunk at a party and brought her to his least favorite personâs place. It kind of feels like Iâm betraying him.â Robby vented to you, probably the most serious heâd been with you in yearsâwithout it being an argument.
âIt was her choice to get plastered, Robby. She was trying to prove something, thatâs not on you. I know you like her, but taking the fall for her might not be the best idea here.â You softly explained, which made him sigh deeply and shake his head, but he knew what you were saying was somewhat true.
âI canât do that. She made a mistake, one that might really mess things up for her.â He leaned back on the couch and looked over at you. âIâd do it for her. I know you donât think sheâs worth it, but she is to me.â
âWho said I donât think sheâs worth it?â You ruffled your brows together and half-smiled at him, a little taken aback by the comment. âIf I hated her like the rest of the dojo, I wouldnât have brought her back to my home.â Robby thought about what you said for a minute, feeling like a jerk for it. âDude, I really donât care about all the feuding shit, and I get the whole thing with the LaRussoâs, Iâm glad theyâre helpingâŚbut why didnât you come to us?â
âIââ Robby hesitated a moment, âI donât know, I guess I just didnât feel like I could.â You snickered at his answer. âWhat?â
âI donât know why youâre lying, but we can stick with that for now. I just think that if you take the fall for her, you might mess all that up. LaRusso has a really short temper for someone who preaches balance.â You stretched your arms up and your back over the arm of the couch while Robby stayed silent, having no way to really argue with that comment. âWanna watch TV with me?â
âSure.â He chuckled and you reached behind the couch for another blanket, tossing it at your brotherâs face before turning the volume back up. From there, Robby had been tuning in and out of the show, thinking about what youâd said to him. He always wondered what it would have been like being raised by Johnny instead of Shannon, but he always forgot that there was an example who was just a phone call away at all times. But as the two of you sat in silence watching reruns of shows you used to distract yourself with on late nights, you both drifted off on the same couch like little kids again.
When Johnny woke up, he found you both awkwardly passed out on the couch, you practically kicking Robby in the ribs while his arm was draped over his own face. Your dad smiled at a sight he hadnât seen in years, not since he babysat the two of you on Shannonâs âlate nightsâ or went to pick you up from your momâs after working a night shift. So he took out his new phone and took a few minutes to figure out where the camera was, luckily finding it before either of you could wake. He finally had a picture of his kids together.
While Johnny was making his go-to breakfast, the classic fried bolonga, for the kids heâd taken responsibility for the night prior, his phone went off, waking up his son. âOh, sorry. I didnât mean to wake you up.â Robby got up off the couch easy enough not to wake you, as if you could be awoken from your deep sleep.
âItâs okay. Thanks for letting us crash here last night.â Robby told his dad as he entered the kitchen, talking low to make sure you werenât disturbed.
âItâs no problem, looks like you and y/n had a nice time last night.â He softly smiled, giving his son a little chuckle.
âYeah, I probably have a few bruises. I think they do karate in their sleep.â The laughter felt unnatural being between the two of them, but they let it go on as long as they could and went silent again, only the sizzle of the pan making sound.
âLook, Iâm gonna have to tell LaRusso about this. Itâs his kid.â Johnny got real with Robby a moment, which panicked him a bit.
âPlease donât. If he sees her like this, itâll crush him.â Robby explained to his dad, who looked at his son with what could have been pride, but maybe worry, too. âLet me take the blame. Iâll say I got drunk and told Sam to bring me here.â As they were talking, a knock at the door immediately woke you up with a pretty big jump. Not the first time itâd happened.
âJohnny?â The voice behind the door said and you looked over to your family in the kitchen.
âOh, no.â Robby mumbled as he looked to the source of the knocking and demands, you threw off your blanket just as your dad gave you orders.
âYou two, go in the other room.â He told you. âI got your back, Robby.â You smiled to yourself once hearing his comment, even if you were a little worried by what could come next. Your brother followed you to the room Sam was in, quietly closing the door behind you.
âEverythingâs gonna be okay, Robby.â You whispered as you both leaned your ears on the door, hearing the muffled scuffle between two crazed fathers. But the sudden slam of the door was startling, and her father calling her name shocked her back to consciousness. âI spoke way too soon, goddammit.â You waited a few moments before hearing a loud crash, to which all of you decided was the right time to check on them. Robby and Sam restrained their respective fathers and you took a look around the room.
âDad, stop!â Sam pleaded and he immediately cooled down.
âSam? What happened? Are you okay?â Daniel asked her and she let him know she was fine. âWhy didnât you call or text us?â
âSeriously? Another TV?â You groaned at the sight of the television lying on the floor as opposed to secured on the wall as the others began to argue.
âMr. LaRusso, it was my fault. I brought here here.â Robby tried to enact his plan, but you knew it would backfire.
âWait, donât even start.â Daniel warned him, ready to break his heart right then and there. âI gave you a second chance. This whole thing was a mistake. You know, if you wanna end up like him, thatâs up to you.â The room stood still, unimpressed with his lecture as Robbyâs eyes began to gloss over. It was a cruel way to treat someone who made a mistake, thatâs what you were thinking as you watched the face of a dojo make a fool of himself in your living room. âAll right, come on, Sam.â
âPlease, Dad.â She timidly added as he pulled her away.
âSam, I donât wanna hear it. Letâs go.â Daniel exited, slamming the door behind him as your brother shed a few tears and the burning bolonga smell filled the apartment.
âI, uh, Iâm gonna take the car and pick something up for breakfast.â You slowly grabbed the keys off the counter, waiting for approval.
âYeah, good idea. Hereâs a few bucks.â Johnny grabbed his wallet and handed you some cash. âDonât go too crazy behind the wheel, Iâll check for scratches.â
âYes, Dad, I know. Iâll be back soon.â You, much more gently, shut the door behind you and texted your dad immediately after: talk to him, he needs you. Your dad looked down at his phone and back up at Robby, who was walking down the hallway to his room to be alone, shutting the door somewhere in the middle of yourâs and Danielâs power.
âRobby?â Johnny leaned on the wall and tapped the knuckle of his index finger against the door. âHey, you wanna talk about it?â
âI just want to be alone for a while.â Robbyâs muffled voice shooed Johnny away.
âAll right, I understand. Iâll be in the living room if you change your mind.â Johnny let him know before walking back to the battleground to clean up. âShit!â He said, running to the stove to turn the burner off. âThatâs horrible, ugh.â The smell of burnt meat filled his nostrils and he winced. No wonder Robby rushed to his room.
You returned not too long after with an array of McDonaldâs breakfast items to choose from, finding your dad sitting on the couch with a beer. âSo? Did you talk?â
âHe said he wanted to be alone.â Johnny answered as you set all the bags down on the table and rolled your eyes. âHowâs the car?â
âOn fire in the middle of an intersection.â You walked to the end of the hallway and knocked on Robbyâs door. âItâs y/n. Iâll give you five seconds and then Iâm coming in.â Your dad got up to see what you were doing as you counted to five and let yourself into the room, closing the door once again. âDonât get mad at me for saying this, butââ
âYou were right?â Robby tried to finish your sentence, looking pretty angry, eyes as red as his cheeks.
âI was gonna say that you canât let him get to you, but if you think Iâm right, I can live with that.â You sat on the edge of the bed, acting like you were the parent Robby never had in this moment. He exhaled deeply, lying back down as you kept going. âA lot of that stuff he just said because he was angry. People donât always mean what they say when theyâre angry, especially when it comes to their kids.â You explained to your brother.
âWhat if I am turning into Dad?â Robby suggested while staring at the popcorn ceiling.
âYouâre not turning into Dad. You did a lot to prevent that, he just said it to get under your skin.â The subject was getting a little too deep for Robby, and out of nowhere, he kicked you. Not violently, just enough to make you jump. âHey! Iâm trying to help you here!â
âYou know, you move a lot in your sleep.â Robby chuckled, sniffled, and sat up. âThat was payback for what you did to my ribs.â
âWow, I see. Okay, weâre even.â You stood up and walked towards the head of the bed, grabbing his arm and yanking him off the mattress. âNow, come on and eat the food I brought!â Robby nearly let himself crash on the floor, but he caught himself and you both burst into laughter loud enough for your dad to hear, something else to make him smile at. âWash your face, too. You look like a wreck.â
âYouâre a very mean person.â Robby joked as you made your way out of the room.
âItâs a mean world.â While Robby went to the bathroom to clean up, you entered the living room and looked right at your dad, saying, âYou owe me.â
âHow do you do it?â Johnny was perplexed by your success.
âIâm just persistent, I guess.â You headed for the tabled and unpacked all the food, trying to get something good out of this morning since sleeping in wasnât an option. And so the day went on, kind of awkwardly and quietly. Johnny ran some errands, Robby and you watched more TV in complete silence, and you mentally prepared yourself for the first day of school.
âââââ
You headed out early the next morning, making sure you left early enough to skateboard to school so Johnny could take Robby on his own. âHey, whereâs y/n?â Robby asked once he woke up, albeit pretty late for a school day. Just out of practice, I guess.
âAh, they left already. Wanted to skate. Said theyâd meet you in front to show you around. I can drive you, though. Just let me know when youâre ready.â Johnny told him, setting bowls of cereal out for each of them. Robby walked back into your room to try to find something to wear, getting lucky and finding some clothes of his own. And after a quiet breakfast, headed out to the car.
They saw you when they pulled up to the school and, well, you couldnât miss them. âGot you some pencil and some paperâŚâ He told Robby while gifting him his brand new school supplies. âI wasnât sure what you needed. Y/N usually gets their own stuff, I forgot to ask what.â
âThanks.â Robby sighed and accepted the backpack his dad handed him. They kept on talking, making you grow impatient as you waited for your brother to step out of the car. Once he did, your dad waved to you and you waved back, then watched him peel out. Robby approached with a smirk and shook his head. âReally? You left me alone with him again?â
âAh, you loved it.â You led him along the halls. âHe wanted to drive you to school, it couldnât have been that bad.â
âItâs still weird seeing him act like a dad.â Robby admitted.
âI see him act like a dad to me all the time. Well, most of the time. Itâs the same thing with me and mom. You heard from her since she went to rehab?â You asked as you showed him to his homeroom first and foremost.
âNot really. But at least sheâs doing something right.â You walked him to his next few classes, making sure he remembered where to go for the day.
âFinally.â You dodged kids darting through the hallways and poked fun at the freshman, just like Dad taught you. âTheyâre like little gremlins, man. Why are they running with their arms behind their backs? Theyâre gonna trip and fall on their faces.â You finally brought Robby to his locker, which wasnât too far off from yoursâŚor Samâs. âYouâre lucky our names are so close together. Go get her.â Robby ran a few steps ahead and reunited with his girlfriend.
âExcuse me?â He said, causing her to turn around. âIâm new to this school. Can you help me find Miss Santinoâs class.â She didnât laugh, just said:
âHey.â
âOh. That bad, huh?â He cocked an eyebrow and leaned against the nearby lockers.
âI feel like an idiot. We shouldâve just gone to my house and been honest with my parents. Iâm sorry.â She said to him, feeling an immense amount of guilt inside.
âNo, itâs my fault, too.â Robby told her. âFrom now on, no more lying.â Just before he could go on, you showed up, leaning your elbow on his shoulder to embarrass him in front of his girlfriend.
âIs he bothering you?â You asked since she looked miserable.
âHi, y/nâŚâ Sam timidly greeted, just a little worried by your presence as a Cobra Kai and all.
âYou can let your guard down, Sam, Iâm not like the other Cobras. Iâm only in it to kick and punch shit.â You assured her and Robby laughed a little.
âSpoken like a true Lawrence.â He joked, punching your arm and easing the tension between you three.
âOf course. I wanted to ask real quick if you have A or B lunch?â You directed your question to Sam.
âA lunch.â She answered.
âAh, too bad. Me and Robby have B lunch.â You frowned and walked around her, continuing the conversation. âWell, Robby, I will see you at lunch. I just wanted to let you know that Dadâs not picking us up today, but I brought a spare board.â You did your locker combination and opened it to reveal the skateboard in question, fitting perfectly amongst your books and such. You took it out and passed it over to your brother. âTake care of that, or else. Iâll leave you alone now, that was all.â
âThanks, y/n. See you later.â Robby waved bye and turned back to his girlfriend. âSorry about that. Y/N means well, they werenât lying. Itâs just been a weird weekend. As I was sayingâŚI have to tell you something.â She looked at him and waited for him to go on. âMiguel gave me the Medal of Honor. And I put it in the backyard so someone would find it.â She blinked a few times, staring at him with almost no emotion since she already knew what heâd done. As they discussed it some more, the morning bell rang and everyone scattered to class. You ignored the morning announcements as you got situated in class, ready for the day to end as soon as you sat down. But a sudden interruption caught your attention.
âSamantha LaRusso. You know what you did, and now youâre gonna pay for it. Iâm coming for you, bitch.â Tory announced to the whole school and sounded the bell, prompting everyone to leave class at the wrong time. You knew things were gonna get ugly fast, so you rushed to the action and met your brother along the way. âY/N! You gotta help me here.â
âIâDude, I canât justâThis is insane.â You got a little frazzled, the only good word to use here. Tory was a Cobra, and they could be quite ruthless. Not only that, she was a friendly to you, itâd be a betrayal to stand against her. But on the other hand, Sam was Robbyâs girlfriend. Your brotherâs girlfriend. You couldnât mess that up again, youâd never forgive yourself if you did.
âPleaseâŚâ He looked you in your eyes and you came to terms with the fact that you were about to stab all your friends in the back.
âI got your back.â You patted him on the shoulder and rushed to the circle of students with him and halted once you caught the stand off. You told yourself you could get through this with the least amount of drama, just play the âmiddle-manâ and hold them back until some sort of authority broke it up, but in hindsight, that idea didnât work out well.
âI saw what you did at the party.â Tory said once you and Robby arrived. âYou kissed Miguel.â It was news to many, but to Robby, it shattered his world. Sam gazed over at him with remorse, but the damage was done, your brother had been crushed. Sam stuttered, like she wanted to apologize, but just couldnât. She had her chance, though, long enough before Tory swung her fist and you two just stared in awe.
âDoâŚdo you want to do something?â You leaned over and asked him, who was frozen completely. âDude, thatâs messed up. Maybe she needs to handle this one on her own.â You were ready to bail out, not wanting to get on the wrong side of Toryâs fists.
âIâŚâ Robby started, watching the two fight while he fought himself inside. Sam was getting kicked, punched, and pushed, but once Sam was completely helpless, Robby couldnât take it anymore. He tagged in and pulled Tory off while you grabbed Sam and tried to get her away from her assailant. âYou okay?â Robby asked her as you tried to get her on her feet. âY/N, get her out of here!â But when Robby pinned Miguelâs girlfriend, he created a scene that Miguel wouldnât think twice about. He tackled your brother and you bailed on saving Sam, getting pulled back by Hawk.
âWhat the hell are you doing? Are you helping them?â Hawk confronted you, backing you against a wall with his personal posse.
âRobby is my brother, I have to help him.â You pushed him away from you.
âWeâre your dojo, youâre really gonna sell out for him?â He wasnât going to let you off the hook that easily, you knew it, but to your right was your brother and Miguel pummeling each other, this had turned into the worst day of school ever.
âIâm not doing this with you, Hawk. Back off.â You warned and instead of heeding that, he decided to fight youâconfusing both sides as they caught sight of it. But getting distracted by Robbyâs grunts of pain didnât do you any good when Hawk got the upper hand.
âHahah, I finally got a hit on y/n Lawrence. And you thought the day would never come.â He mocked as you swept his leg and knocked him to the floor amidst his bragging, stepping on his hair spikes and leaving to do something good.
âItâll never happen again.â You told him while following the crowd into the next hallway over, scattering to see what you could do. The four were up on the stairs and you were fighting for your life to get to the second floor. Before you could make it up there, it was too late. Miguel had fallen just a few feet away from you and you froze at the sight. It took a few forceful thoughts for you to look up and see him, Robby, standing over the railing in pure fear. You would have gone after him, but you couldnât move. Even if you wanted to. The next person you looked at was Sam, then Tory, and by the time you looked back up, Robby was gone.
You were taken to the hospital to be checked for a concussion, you were lucky that was it. But when your dad got there, he didnât know what to think. âY/N, are you okay?â
âYeah, Iâm fine. Just aâŚgood olâ fashion concussion. Never stopped me before.â You sat up in the hospital bed theyâd put you in and your dad paced the room. âYou talk to Carmen yet?â
âYeah, she wants nothing to do with me.â He told you, balling his fists like Miguel had taught him. âAnd Robbyâs missing, so thatâs just perfect. Iâm glad youâre okay, though. I am. They did tell me you were suspended, though, nice job.â
âWe all got suspended. I was just trying to break up the fight.â You tried to defend yourself.
âIâm not mad, y/n, I was hoping youâd get suspended sooner or later. Just sucks it happened like this.â Johnny sat down on a chair and shook his head, bouncing his leg on the ground. âYou sure your headâs okay?â
âYeah, Iâm fine, just gotta stay up for a while.â You assured him.
âGreat, âcause Iâm staying up with you. Thereâs no way Iâll be able to sleep after this.â Johnny told you, and you knew he wasnât kidding a bit. The gravity of the situation started to weigh down on you from there. Way more than you anticipated. âWhat? Whatâs wrong? Where are the jokes? Youâre freaking me out.â
âThis is like, really bad.â You curled your legs up, holding them against your chest and resting your chin on your knees. âMiguelâs actually fighting for his life. Thatâs real. This is real. Robby is a fugitive, I didnât get to him on time. I was trying to, I swear, but the Cobras noticed. They wouldnât let me go without a fight, I couldnât chase him or anything. ThisâŚthis is crazy. Iâm in the hospital and Iâm about ten seconds away from a panic attack now. I think I fucked up.â You didnât use that word lightly in front of your dad, but when he heard it he swapped his seat for your bed and hugged you as tight as he could.
âY/N, I know for a fact that this wasnât on you. Thereâs no possible way it could have been, you did everything you could.â Johnny assured you, trying to hold back his tears from your rant to him. âIâm proud of you for choosing to do the right thing, even if it meant fighting against the dojo. You did better than I wouldâve at that age. Now, Iâm gonna sign the release forms and get you out of here, okay?â
âHey, Dad?â You asked before he left the room.
âYeah?â
âCan we get ice cream from the store on the way home?â You asked him and he smiled through his personal pain, nodding in agreement with you.
âSure, weâll get whatever you want.â He knocked his knuckles lightly against the metal threshold and left the room, letting tears silently spill as he did what needed to be done, but knowing deep down he was on the verge of disappointing you greatly. He was on the verge of spiraling.
