Question 1: How many books do you own? 

I'm don't know the exact figure, but I know I own 350+ books

Question 2: What book really got you into reading?

Oh lord! I can't remember the book that really got me into reading, as I have been reading since I can remember! But I can remember the first book that I re-read over and over again! It's called House of Ghosts by Ann Turnbull. I still read it to this day!

Question 3: Do you have a favourite genre?

Hmmm...I love anything apart from some romance. I'm not a huge soppy person to be honest...

Question 4: New or used books?

You meanie! I love both :( 

Question 5: If you could bring a character to life to spend a day with, who would it be?

Theodore from My Family and Other Animals! We would comb every nook and cranny in search of nature, I would be all ears and I would just be silently fangirling over a man with a beard. Both of us are socially awkward when saying our goodbyes or hellos (I could go on a huge ramble and fangirl...but I won't) :3

That holding your breath gets easier the quieter you become. Morning clouds are homeless. That his handwriting looks like a half-packed suitcase. That reading before dawn is the only way to discover what matters. The hands of a pianist are like birds, flying across dark and light skies. That she had loved his nocturne, once.

This is what she does not know.

That growing does not stop. That flowers know colours she will never see. That the motion of folding is the softest of all. That someone will come one morning and gather up all the parts of her in one breath. That star jasmine will inhabit space in the same way- exploring all the different kinds of air (windswept, tear-stained, cloud-tinted), before coming to a still and collapsing, with one breath, into a full, flowering face. That for all its life, it will wear the same expression. That it will cry until the end.

This is what she knows: That however many times she will count on her fingers, she can never quite reach number twelve (which was the day he left her.) That if she clenches her fists hard enough, she will feel brave enough to dot two rosy blushes onto her cheek and smile at the beautiful stranger on the train. That her feet are small but her heart is big, she can count on the clock to tell her the truth and that the rabbit did fall down the hole. She knows that Alice followed him, she knows that sometimes she feels like Alice. 

This is what she does not know:  That her bronchi fill her lungs when he breathes, as though his life is star jasmine and it has filled her space (and her.) That the spaces between bookshelves contain fifty eight hidden messages that are hidden behind five layers of dust and one layer of grime. That when she purses her lips, her mouth looks like a flute. That there are twenty ways to break a heart and only two to fix (1. And I love you, and we will be. 2. It is time we walked away from all this sadness.) That her insides have constricted outwards, that you can see the inside cavity of her heart from a ten metre radius. And that if she squeezes her eyes long enough the shadows behind her lids remind her of him. 

You take Fitzgerald, and a flask of tea and a candle and your legs. Take them somewhere special, take them where you can breathe and hold on, hold on you have so much waiting for you.
