Regrann from @dbphotogallery - Earlier today.... huge massive fissure eruptions... up until now I’ve only ever seen this in documentaries and in National Geographic. I have been a fanatic about volcanos since I was a kid. Today I got to see something I have only ever dreamed about. This was surreal. This cone was shooting lava 200-300 feet up. Bitter- sweet moments watching Pele in awe while simultaneously witnessing her destroy my figurative back yard. Today was a heavy day... a lot happened. This cone though! Amazing!! Still in awe! Pele is the queen of our island, and this is her will.....we can only accept it with dignity...
