Fluffuary Day Twelve: Stealing Each Other’s Clothes- Lavamonkey
"Hey, Red- What are you doing?"
The bedroom looked like it had been ransacked, with drawers thrown open and clothes dumped across the bed. Usually, Red insisted on clothes being folded and placed neatly in. Instead, the demon was looking around, smoke rising from his hair.
"My coat is missing," He grumbled out. "I can't find it."
"Did you check the laundry?" Cole suggested. He probably had, but he wanted to be helpful.
"Yes! And it's not anywhere!" Red crossed his arms, curling in on himself. "I can't go out without it."
Cole sighed, considering. "Well, borrow my jacket." Red opened his mouth. "I know, I know, it's not the same…" Cole headed towards the closet. Like the rest of the room, it was a mess, but his section had only been pushed to the side. "But it'll be nice to see you wearing it."
Red hummed. "I do enjoy your scent…"
Cole felt his face heat up as he started to look for his jacket. Red was so open about his feelings now that he had gotten over acting like a cat about it. (Mostly.) It almost distracted him from the fact that his jacket was missing.
His everyday jacket was gone, with just an empty hanger.
He moved everything back. He moved everything forward. He looked down, in case Red had knocked it over. He looked around the closet and then moved outside.
Nothing.
"…my jacket's missing."
"What? Did you check to see if I knocked it down?"
"Yeah, and it's not there. Only the hanger's there."
"Strange, so was mine…"
Realization hit.
"XIAOTIAN!"
Cole could faintly hear a gasp coming from the living room, right before their boyfriend cackled. Red was already running past with his own giggled out "COME HERE, YOU MENACE-" followed by a squeal.
"GET HIM RED! I'LL COVER THE SIDE DOOR!"
"AHH, NO! MERCY!"
