My posts defending Sherlolly have never never been rude or disrespectful to others - I do not use mockery or belittlement to defend my ship
BUT -- Want to know WHY I respectfully and humbly Believe that Moftiss has been developing a female love interest story arc Series by Series (yes into S5) within BBC Sherlock? One of the reasons is the sheer number of Easter Eggs and nods from two or three sources that Moftiss has included in their writing. 1) Laurie King’s Mary Russell/Sherlock Holmes series in which Holmes meets a woman in Sussex, marries her and solves cases with her. DO you know that to date I’ve found over a dozen unique similarities between BBC and her series? Uncle Rudy, Sherlock wanting to be a pirate, Henry’s brightly lit home in Hob, the explosions in TFP.. ETC.. ALL this from a series about a female love interest for Holmes. and Yes I know that isn’t Canon. 2)) But I ALSO noticed over 30 references to ONE case.. (the most referring to one case) and that case is Adv of Lions Mane. And if you haven’t heard yet Lions Mane is written by Holmes himself IN Sussex.. in it he calls a woman unforgettable, remarkable and says no man could cross her path unscathed. (From any other man that would be normal descriptive words I suppose) BUT Holmes does not talk this way . He does not physically describe women by their appearance. Maud MATTERS to Canon Holmes. Ms. King knows it, We Sherlollians know it and I’m fully convinced Moftiss knows it too. 3)They as well know ACD himself gave his full support to the inclusion of a female love interest for Holmes to W. Gillette on screen. What some do not realize is that ACD had the screen rights to Gillettes movie. He had legal rights as to whether it was written in. and he allowed it. That is why I fully support BBC Sherlolly
