I think it's downright awful that Blitz invited Stolas out just because he wanted to observe and spend time with someone else.

And you can clearly see Stolas being uncomfortable with the idea, constantly trying to engage in conversation with Blitz who won't even throw him a bone. No input, no going into detail about work, nothing.

It just further emphasizes the fact that the relationship is sloppy. Stolas wants to take it to the next level by spending quality time with him rather than just being in it for the sex, but Blitz is too emotionally damaged to commit.
