The Name of the Wind by you-know-who and more importantly, The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch✨ I don't see this on Tumblr a lot but my god was this book hilarious (and tragic).

2. Best sequel you’ve read so far in 2020

A Heart So Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer, The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black (this released late in my country), Network Effect by Martha Wells

3. New release you haven’t read yet

Star Daughter, Aurora Burning, Kingdom of Back - they were all pre-ordered but still haven't come in yet due to delays.

4. Most anticipated release for the second half of the year

💕Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson (Stormlight Archive #4)✨

5. Biggest disappointment

Children of Virtue and Vengeance by Tomi Adeyemi - This book went from 5 stars in book 1 to zero stars in book 2. The story is only being written for shock value with characters regressing as they go. The only emotion they know is anger. And apparently, war crimes and genocides are ok as long as they shock the reader. Book ended on a cliffhanger that made zero sense! I loathed it so much.

Red, White and Royal Blue - Yeah...so this happened. Expected it to be like Carry On, it was not. I'm not fond of American politics.

6. Biggest surprise

All Systems Red by Martha Wells - I knew this was about a rogue android but never expected it to be so relatable. I binged the entire series last month. Let Murderbot watch media in peace!!

The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner - This was amazing and came out of nowhere. My first time reading 3rd person POV. This series has great characters and great development. Best written.

I think I cried while reading Shadows of Self by Brandon Sanderson.

Seriously, all of them. Even the bad ones. I'm just happy to still be getting book deliveries.

All the Bright Places though I haven't read the book.

I'm watching Pride and Prejudice (2005) right now for the first time so let me get back on this 🥰

The illustrated edition of Pride and Prejudice!!!

Nothing specific. Just happy to be reading whatever I get.

John checks his pockets again, he'd been sure that he slid in the tickets before leaving. James leans over him, offering them over and he sighs, staring up at his boyfriend, "You did that on purpose."

"Maybe," James smirks and John feels himself being led inside, "You can't prove it."

"You're so mean to me."

"You love it," John shrugs, pursing his lips slightly, "Come on, don't be sad."

"I'm not!" James smiles and presses a soft kiss to John's head. They quickly find their seats and it isn't long until the comedian takes the stage.
