laswell sat in her office trying to catch up on the paperwork from the last few hectic missions. it never seemed to end when she heard shouting from the hallway. with a sigh, she stood up and pinched the bridge of her nose and began to walk towards the doorway.
putting on her normal, serious face, she walked up to see what was going on. she didn't expect the thumping in her chest when she saw the little blonde firecracker laying into a recruit.
she had to cover her mouth to stop a small giggle as the small sniper got in the recruits face, not letting her size stop her. those pale blue eyes held anger, and for some reason, kate liked that. a lot.
she knew she had to intervene and put her hand on abby's shoulder before looking down at her with a mock serious expression.
"my office... now."
what abby couldn't see was the way kate's heart was hammering in her chest. she had never felt this way before, but one thing was for sure. when those pretty blue eyes looked up at her, and kate saw those soft, squishy cheeks. she knew she had to have abby. no matter the cost.
