“Belle?” 

It had been a year since he had last seen his sister, since anyone had for that matter. No sign or word of her in so long and now, here she was in front of him. 

The Doctor smiled wanly at the young woman.  No one had to tell the Doctor about consequences, particularly bad ones, the ones that could really haunt you and follow you around until you were driven nearly mad at the thought of them.

                        GASTON PARADES the streets ; the captain as always used to the stares ( the sighs ). There’s something about today that lifts his spirits, chin tilted towards the heavens as confidence  r i s e s  ( to think it hadn’t even reached its peak !! ). Today was the day Belle would fall in love with him. After all he’d been practicing.

          Upon sight of her, he cleared his throat, a sharp jab to Lefou’s side. It was time. His partner passed Gaston the thick novel ( it was almost as big as his biceps ) as Gaston pretended to peruse the novel’s poetic words. Unbeknownst to him, the book was upside down ... && he hadn’t even looked to see what it was about. But that didn’t matter, the size alone would impress her, he was sure.

                    He never allowed for the emotion to cross his features, but for once the man felt a bit of GUILT. He knew it was a bit much, tying her father up && leaving him for the wolves. But what choice did he have ?? DESPERATION drove the man to do unthinkable things ( oh, how many times had it happened before ?? ).
