11. “Don’t you dare throw that snowba-, goddammit!”

“May this season of death and solitude pass over quickly. May it leave us our loved ones and our health. May the joy of life return to us with strength.”

Isa rolls his eyes and glances over at the man beside him. Lea resembles a cocoon more than a person at the moment between a thick coat, hat pulled low, and a well wrapped scarf. “I understand, you hate winter. Please stop making proclamations as we walk to the car.”

Lea glares at him. “No. Fuck this season. It deserves this.”

“I don’t think grumbling like an old crazy prophet is going to make winter disappear any faster. That’s up to the groundhog after all.” Isa looks around them. “It’s only a couple inches of snow, Lea.”

“A couple inches too many. Fuck snow.”

“You’re a sourpuss.”

Lea just flips him off as much as he can through heavy mittens.

Isa rolls his eyes and slows down. Lea continues trudging toward the car and doesn’t notice as Isa bends down and scoops up a handful of snow. It’s perfect for shaping and he pats it into a ball.

Lea reaches the car and gives the handle a tug. Only when it doesn’t open does he turn to look for Isa. His boyfriend smiles at him, snowball in hand.

“Don’t you fucking dare. Isa, I will kill you!”

“I would never. I’m the responsible one, remember?” Isa takes a couple steps closer and Lea presses his back to the car.

“You’re a jackass. Don’t you dare throw that snowba-, goddammit!”

The snowball hits with a very satisfying splat right against Lea’s chest. Isa dusts the leftover snow from his hands. “There. See? There are benefits to the snow.”

War AU + Flirting Under Fire KIND OF 

naturally, alphys is mission control. actually that’s kind of an accident??? she does not think she’s good enough for such an important job but everyone else is busy or…worse and she’s in charge of a really, really competent unit so as long as she’s paying attention it should be fine. right?

undyne is a little thrown by the new person over the radio but she sounds. pretty cute. war is serious and undyne is stressed but alphys goes on tangents that are expansive and engaging and good in their own right, and the fact it’s a good distraction from all the hell that battles bring just a helpful side-effect

it’s a bit rough in the middle of actual fights but undyne is the one in control most often anyway so it goes alright

eventually undyne’s guard is stuck in the same dangerous place for a long time. they get to talking about after the war in the more peaceful stretches. undyne knows she has to win, alphys has some doubts but pretends she doesn’t b/c undyne believes in them all and she doesn’t actually want to contemplate if undyne doesn’t make it or their side loses

undyne unexpectedly bursts that they’re obviously going to meet up after the war. go watch some of those movies alphys told her about, they sound neat as hell! 

it’s hope and it’s a promise.

I think they mean the panel directly before the hug panel–unless that’s Helios opening his arms, but in that case he’s missing his sleeves. There’s just a small panel of these extended arms with no way to tell whose they are.
