I got in my car and made sure Tye was settled before shifting into gear. Honestly I didn’t know what the hell I was doing. I hated brindleton bay always had, I moved there after my parents died to live with Gram and Pop but I had always hated it. It reminded me of what I had lost in terms of my parents but I also hated the farm. I hated how everyone knew everyone and I hated waking up to go to the farmers market with Gram. 

When I was signed straight out of high school I took my chance and I ran with it, and never looked back. I still spoke with Gram and Pop’s and they’d come to see me play once or twice but to actually say I’d been home… that would be a lie. So why now? I don’t know maybe I was seeking absolution, for someone to forgive me… tell me it was okay. Maybe I wanted to be refreshed, to go to the tiny place that was brindleton bay for a few hours, smell the fresh air and come back having recharged and ready to continue my ‘great’ life in the city. I don’t know.
