     she’d told him that she couldn’t fall in love— she had to sell her ‘love’ in order to eat and stay off the streets. if it weren’t for the work she did, she wouldn’t survive and she surely wouldn’t be able to stay on her road to becoming an actress. not to mention the fact that zidler and his other girls were the ones keeping her alive most days when she had her spells of getting so very sick.

        there was still that main goal in everything she did, though. if she could get through everything else, if she could get through to the investors she met with, then she would definitely be well on her way to becoming an ACTRESS.

         this man, though— christian? if she actually fell for him, it would definitely be bad for business.

“you come with me,”   it’s stated with a surety that she’s never felt about anything in her life,   desperation in her expression as she clutches his hands in her own.   “you leave home,  and come with me.  come live with me,  and my friends.”   she doesn’t have a stable home,  she knows,  there’s no assurance that she’ll wake up knowing where she’ll sleep that night  ---  but it’s better than home ever was.   “you’ll be safe!  your parents won’t come near us  —  they won’t dare,  it’s too filthy and obscene for their liking  —  which is all the better,  moritz.  you don’t need them!  you don’t need their opinions,  or their judgement!  you can be free!”

i’m.....  over here cryin’ bc you’re the other person who’s been around since my first peggy blog and keeps sticking around.  you’re.....  genuinely one of my very best friends,  and the way you’ve been here for me the last few days while i’ve struggled so much means so so much to me.  you’re so endlessly supportive,  and i hope it’s something i’m effective in showing in return.  on top of that,  you write so well?  your muses are all captured so well,  and your passion for each of them shines through so perfectly and i just love u sm.
