Commission: Tubular Bell
Oh, it’s been a while hasn’t it? Forgive me for being so absentminded when it comes to being active on tumblr, keeping two art websites up-to-date with my content is quite the task when coupled with other life duties.
I’m back now, with a commission for the ever wonderful Larscis I painted around 5 months ago. Quite an interesting piece, as it marked a small departure from the style that I often use. It is quite detailed, and Tubular Bell has been drawn with some different anatomy then I usually use. I made a concentrated effort while painting this piece to render Tubular Bell very smoothly, with no sign of brush marks.Â
I’ve not used this style since, mostly because I don’t feel it quite lives up to what I want my art to be. I’d much rather my art to be drawn freely, without having to worry about the smoothness of the subject.
Anyway, apologies again for leaving you all in the dark.
