I find Webster a lot harder to write than most. He truly has a complicated character, it’s multi-faceted and even a bit contradictory which is why I’m so intrigued by him (and also maybe why he seems underrated/misunderstood in the fandom). He also reminds me of myself most of the time, so writing him it’s somehow a self-seeking process as well.

Snafu is a difficult character too, tho. Especially when (like in Unknown Number) I have to get inside his head and dissect each of his toughts. I think, as a character, he’s the one with the most intricated thinking process.

Btw, I was thinking maybe I’d share with you guys some lessons of my ‘character psychology’ course of some years ago. I could apply the theory to some of the most used characters in the fandom(s) to give you examples of how I was taught it’s the best way to write characters for the screen (but I apply the same rules for prose fiction). Don’t know if any of you would be interested...
