Two, I personally would love to know more about Prince Rico and Henry’s relationship in Zanzibar. From what little we’re given they’ve known each other for years and if Henry’s father “stands in readiness to rule” if Rico’s father can’t cope with royal duties due to grief then their two families must be pretty closely connected. If Henry’s father is an advisor of sorts to Rico’s, then I reckon Henry and Rico must have known each other for years, perhaps they were even childhood friends? And if they were friends, what the fuck happened that made Henry think Rico had to die?? Rico seems pretty laid back with Henry and says he (Henry) is the only one he trusts so the hatred seems pretty one sided… Henry my man give us the tea.
Three, this isn’t really a “dynamic” so much of a character question, but I am *fascinated* with Müller from Lip Service. I have SO many questions about this guy. I know his scenes were clever little red herrings to keep us distracted and he really was just Some Guy but I can’t quite shake the feeling there was way more to his character than we ever got to see. There were hints that Müller actually does care for Felix in a very odd way and the way he seems genuinely invested in Felix’s reaction to his hotel kind of makes me inclined to agree? (The question about reserving Felix a table was an invitation to dinner prove me wrong) As a hotel manager, he tells Felix about the fire drill and as management surely he would be ensuring safety checks for the building? So why was he right there at Felix’s door only seconds after shit went down? Was he waiting there?? Who gives a shit about lotus biscoffs and clothing hangers? Where’s the trouser press? So many questions!
There’s also the way he worriedly bursts into the room at the end. It’s very quick and easy to miss, but he gives a little gasp and looks genuinely distressed at what’s happened to Felix. The way he’s heard saying “which is… never a good sign…” sounds genuinely sad. I dunno I just feel there were invisible layers to this Irritating Little Man 😂😅
