#Tbt to a month ago. I've been wearing my #locs like this on the occasions I don't have it in a high bun or head wrap. HEADBANDS SAVE LIVES (so do hats)! And no need to get fancy. Scrap material, headties etc., when finessed correctly, can take you very far on looking like you've been doing stuff to your hair. Hi new followers👋🏾. Have you tried @auntjackiescurlsandcoils flaxseed recipes or other products? Before leaving the US in November I'd been homemade flaxseed gel on my hair post-wash (for a bout 4 months) and my hair loved it. I picked this up here at a surprisingly large beauty supply store on the west coast that had eh-vuh-ry-thang! My #locs are currently in a very dry and neglected state😔 so I picked up this Intensive Repair Conditioning Masque to see if it can bring my hair back to life a lil bit until I can get to a stylist. I've already tried it once but I won't make any declarations about its effectiveness just yet because the way my hair is currently set up??! I'm gonna need to use this on a regular and consistent basis before I can say anything for sure. Let me know ... Have you tried this? HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! Don't let the sweet talk walk you to the plank and make you jump off into a friggin canyon with no parachute. 🕴💥 This also means that love is not a house that can be built with words alone. I mean... you could try. But if you're looking for something that delivers on emotional safety, support, shows up when you need it and sometimes when you don't, is interested in and values what you think and who you are, would wipe your ass if you lost your arms, and genuinely wants the best for you? Words will only take you so far. I mean, there are things we only find out about ourselves that are unearthed by a love that goes beyond words and what sounds right. It's messy sometimes, scary sometimes, makes you want to run away sometimes (often for me cause I'm like Forrest🏃) but always rewarding... If you put in the work. Sometimes that work means you'll miss out on a good person or few people along the way because you're not ready just yet. That's OK.
