language plan 2019/2020 pt. 2 📚
🌼 last semester at uni and new language plans 🌼
what changed in the last 6 months?
I feel more fluent speaking Russian and I can understand a lot, but I still have some problems with grammar and reading. where to put the stress is also a struggle. Russian is a part of my daily life now, I listen to Russian podcasts, watch videos in Russian or revise the old vocab
I work on my Turkish everyday. I try to read out loud when I can and I learn lots of new vocabulary. I also try to watch Turkish series and pick up the words I know from them
I failed with Yiddish, but I haven’t given up yet! I borrowed two great books from my uni library and I want to go through them this semester
I decided to wait with learning Spanish, French and Hebrew
for the next 3-4 months I decided to mainly focus on Russian, Lithuanian and Turkish. my side languages are German and Yiddish
russian: more reading, revising notes from classes, speaking to myself, journaling (??)
lithuanian: same old stuff + writing, revising notes from classes day after and day before
turkish: old notes, new textbook, watching shows with subtitles, reading out loud, practicing speaking with my boyfriend
german: reading, writing (journaling), grammar revision
yiddish: revising everything I’ve done so far + practicing reading and writing (if you’re learning yiddish too, don’t hesitate and write to me! I’ll be happy to have a partner); I will also try to post vocabulary lists at least twice a month
