HONESTLY THO like Davenport didnāt just lose years of his life he lost his ENTIRE SELF for an extended period. How do you even come back from that, I also love Lucretia but I couldnāt blame Davenport at all if he couldnāt bring himself to forgive her.

he immediately starts talking about the starblaster, starting a new cycle. they tried this one, they fucked it up, they have to move on. like griffin said in the narration at one point, davenportās entire life was woven with the mission. itās an intrinsic part of who he is, and that includes lucretia.
he has to be willing to work with her. he canāt be bogged down by petty bullshit and he canāt perpetuate it because he is the captain. if he were against her, it would be easy for taako, lup, and barry to hold that grudge too. thatād be half the team, versus magnus who got to live his life with julia and merle who also forgives lucretia.
even if barry and lup could live with the effects of what had happened and move on to a new cycle without complications, taako wouldnāt be able to put it aside to work together unless he had no other option. and so long as lup and barry are on his side, and they would be for a while, taako would continue to not trust her, sow discord because he pulls people into his gravity. he inspires pettiness and doesnāt forgive his grudges easily.
it would be detrimental to the mission, to basically have a 3v3 in the crew, and if davenport didnātĀ forgive lucretia? it would legitimize the fight. whereas, if he forgives and works with lucretia, then the others could be won over more easily and move on.
davenport realizes thereās no other option for him, no other way to stop the hunger. because his sense of self is the mission to save the universe in some state or another, he can be selfless enough to set his feelings to the side and do what needs to be done.
at least thatās what i think. :V
