the set up round starts off with everyone’s favourite don and his usual… business

some things never change

started rotation in the goth/lothario household, cassandra moved out with don and she ended up getting pregnant. back in the caliente household, dina convinced don to break up with cassie, though unexpectedly, don actually rejected dina 3 times after breaking up with cassie (guess he just used dina as an excuse to end things with cassie).

now we're in the pleasant household and somehow everything's collided here. lilith became really good friends with alex after her and angela caught daniel cheating with nina after school one day (i'm saying that they bonded over both cassie's and mary-sue's failed marriages). the second time daniel cheated, mary-sue caught him, but you know her, she wanted to try to fix the relationship.

luckily, i think lilith was plotting because this particular day, she invited over alex, but for some reason cassie showed up too, and she immediately got pissed off when she saw daniel flirting with kaylynn. she ends up gossiping with mary-sue about it, and one thing led to another and this fight ensued. really never a boring day in pleasantview.

meanwhile, upstairs, this whole time, alex tried to make a move on lilith right in front of dirk. alex's much younger than them, so i think dirk just brushed it aside, and they are on good terms now. i have some really cute photos of this, and it was so sweet up until the point when lilith apologized to angela, she accepted it, and then just had to start slapping her again :|

We start off this chapter...wait wait..Thomas! You can't tell me you went to bed like that?!

"Grandpa said to seize the day. So I slept in my trainers!"

I'm pretty sure most of this family spend all their time in this games room. There's always someone on the football or pool table.

Gabe- "Yeah! Great cartwheeling!"

Amelia- "I can't hear Fifa over you! I just unlocked World Cup mode with extra football chants and superior beer drinking ability!

It's the twins' 13th birthdays! They have matching Freezer Bunny cakes.

Aww I like Amelia's jumper dress.

It's so cute how Generation 6 have been all over the playground. And even cuter how Thomas still wants to play with his little sister.

"Phil...."

"Sigh. I know. Just a minute."

"Come on. I have your welcome drink all ready for you."

RIP Phil, he was a hard worker to the end and a wonderful dad and grandpa.

As I got Georgia up the next morning, I noticed she too was wearing trainers.

"It's like grandpa always said! Seize the day!"

Yeah but I'm not sure about the chain.

She sure seized her birthday and grew into a young woman, even though the whole family were so sad about Phil's death.

And just like that, Generation 6 are teenagers :(

I can't believe that I got the sack. Mary-Sue has got it in for me. Why doesn't she just divorce Daniel?

Maybe I can get a better job, one that will make Daniel and Don want me instead of their stuck up wives.

*sneak*

Kaylynn: This is it, I've had enough.

Don: Baby, I miss you and I swear I'm gonna change, trust me.

I hate you!

Night has fallen and the party goes on. Phillip may not have been able to get Bradley’s attention, but he’s certainly got Tony’s, who he’s keeping entertained with stories about his family, the ineffable Altos.

Brad doesn’t seem to find these stories entertaining at all. He’s even a little jealous of Phillip stealing his dad’s attention at his own party!

Jean is not jealous, but worried; he is afraid that his parents might have fought because of him.

While they both take a break to enjoy dinner at last, Bradley tells him all the wonderful things he’s heard about Cahaya Island. Jean listens, mesmerized, and saddened at the same time that he won’t be able to join his brother.

Bradley: What do you mean she said no? Didn’t Dad talk to her? Jean: Dad has this policy of never contradicting Mom on anything concerning me.

Bradley: That's a wise policy, I guess. Anyway, don't worry, you'll become and adult soon, then you'll make your own decisions. Jean: Yeah, one more year and no one will be able to stop me, not even my mom. Bradley: I'll see you in Cahaya then. Jean: You bet.

Well, the party’s over, it’s time to dismiss the babysitter and put the kids to bed.

If they want to sleep, that is, cause Marlene at least slept through the whole party. Now she’s fresh as a daisy and ready to play all night long. The joys of being an exhausted middle-aged father of two toddlers.

Jean isn’t middle aged, but he’s exhausted too. He still has to finish his homework, and his phone won’t stop ringing.

“Okay, let’s see who’s so eager to talk to me. Maybe it’s Peggy or Meredith, maybe one of them changed their mind and wants to chat with me for the whole night.”

Nope. It’s Phillip Alto, calling Jean’s phone because Brad isn’t answering his. “Forget it, buddy, Brad’s already sleeping like a log. Call him tomorrow, okay? Bye.

And so it ends this historic gathering of the Langeraks. Yes, I know, they’re a rather peculiar family, but a happy one at that. This is the latest I have on them in Island Paradise, We'll probably see them all in Cahaya someday, although that may take some time. Thank you for reading this far.
