So yesterday I’m in the union right and I’m having this deep intellectual conversation with this beautiful AKA about school and life and crap(yes we have deep intellectual conversations at ASU, we don’t party ALL of the time). So we’re talking, now I’d admit that I’m not really focusing on what she’s saying because I am captivated by her beauty and I’m just trying not to say anything that makes me feel dumb or weird (two feelings I always manage to get when I’m talking to pretty girls). Don’t ask me how it happened because obviously I don’t know but some how the topic of “true love” came up and frankly when asked what it was I didn’t know how to respond.

True Love…what is true love? Does “true love” even exist? These are the questions asked by girls and often avoided by guys.Now when I say “true love” I mean like legit true love. Like the “true love” people talk about. Like the kind they show in movies and crap. Now to answer these questions I’m forced to embrace my soft side. Which is weird. I have to get all “mushy” but I’m only doing this to accurately express and explain my thoughts on the subject so don’t judge me!

Ok well I know I’m not a love expert. Heck I’m in college and I’ve been single since the 10th grade(thirst trap) but in my opinion “true love” is like an obsession. True love is pure passion. True love is when you’re head over heels for some one. True love is when you can’t live without a person ya know? I think true love comes when u can see a person’s obvious flaws and still manage to over look them, not because you’re stupid or naive but simply because there flaws don’t matter to you. You’re just happy to be around them.

I think when you truly love some one you can never be too close to them. It’s like…idk…when you truly love someone you’re always too far away even when you’re side by side. It’s like you wanna melt into the person creating one inseparable being that has the best attributes of both individuals.

See the world is full of like wars, violence, hate, and pain but when you truly love someone. It’s like none of these problems exist when you’re around them. They’re your comfort zone. They’re your place of safety. They’re your place of honestly. The place where u can genuinely remove the mask u wear for society and relax. 

In other words when you’re with them your life is on a cloud but when you’re away from them your sky is crashing down ya kno?(idk how much sense that made)

Falling in “true love” is probably the biggest gamble of your life because in order to be in true love you have to be completely open to a person. You literally have to let them see you flaws and all. When you’re in “true love” you’re…naked in front of them(for a lack of a better term). You’re basically saying “I trust you enough to allow u to see me this way. I’m completely exposed. Flaws and all. I accept you and your flaws now I’m asking you to accept me and mine”

This is why I think sex is so sacred and important. I know it sounds lame but it’s true. When you’re engaging in intercourse you are basically revealing your deepest darkest secrets. You are becoming completely exposed. You’re not hiding anything. Every embarrassing scar or blemish is completely exposed because well…you’re naked! We all have secrets and I can’t understand how any one could reveal their secrets to just…anybody. I know I can’t.

So what is “true love”? Does “true love” even exist? I think it does…but then again…what do I kno?
