Saint Seiya - Bronzini Sfigati : ‘The Flying Battleships’ by Sekishiki

“  I spent a bit time imaging the ships I'd have shown in my last two submissions. At first we thought about using the flying ships we all know as depicted in the Lost Canvas by Teshirogi... but seriously, would you believe to see a caravel or a sailbot in the Ancient Greece? Obviously not. So we thought if the cloths evolve passing the centuries, it would be likewise reasonable for the divine ships! So I elaborated these two specular ancient Greek triremes, the one with the effigies of goddes Nike and golden ram heads (since the Argo was the Argonauts' ship searching for the Golden Fleece), the other with Garuda heads. The lateral heads work as cosmic cannons indeed. But you see a furthermore ship within the golden and the violet ones. You can notice it is basically identical to the first, apart from some details: the ram heads turned to skulls, the angelical Nike turned to a devilish deamon, the golden aura turned infernal greenish. As you can read in the caption text to the original image "the Hope Ship Argo, unled by Silver Saint Argo Navis Sophanés’ chosmos, turns to an infernal ship itself, absorbing life energy form Eurybiadés’ men and converting it into cannon shots". Saint Seiya - Bronzini Sfigati Vol. 3 : Dragon Phobos (Sarkr) by Sekishiki

480 b.C., Persian Invasion II of Greece. Hydarnes II, son of Hydarnes, is the reincarnation of Ares' son Phobos "the Fear" and wears the sarkr of the Dragon, one of the animals sacred to the god of bloody war. He's one of the 4 Generals of Xerxes/Ares, and leads part of the Berserker ground troops, just as Deimos "the Terror". In this volume he's involved in the battles of Thermopylae and the sack of Delphi. Despite his name and reputation, Phobos is a lazy and brash character: he likes to sitdown as soon as he can, and he doesn't even care about taking Xerxes/Ares' place upon his throne! He's an irascible guy, always crying and yelling ("Come on!!! Come ooooon!!! Dwarves!!! Dwaaaaarves!!!"), but he's a fearsome warrior too - even if using "not exactly dynamic" fighting techniques: he just takes off his mask and glances very bad at the enemies... he even succeded frightening a Galaxian Explosion wich, "seized with awe, decides to don in a corner as a good girl"!!! __________ The inspiration for this character, his physiognomy, as well as his description and characteristic language in the fanromance, is a tribute to the (trash) hard rocker Richard Benson, who calls himself "the devil's guitarist". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Benson_(singer) The chair as well as the "hellish rod" (as he calls it) are exactly the ones this man uses during his performances: while the first appears in his only official music video, the second one is an object he's very fond of and which he even dedicated an express explanation video. The final motto: "TI DEVI SPAVENTAREEEEE!!!" ("YOU MUST FRIGHTEEEEEN!!!"). Artemisi I of Caria is the reincarnation of Ares' ally Ker "the Violent Death" (or "the death/doom in battle") and wears the sarkr of the Wolf, one of the animals sacred to the god of bloody war. She's one of the 4 Generals of Xerxes/Ares, and leads part of the Berserker navy troops, just as Kydoimos "the Chaos of Battle". Unique woman in Xerxes/Ares’ troops and worthy of her prestige military title, she leads at Cape Artemision and Salamina battleships. Here she shows her mighty power starting to sing hideously in an unknown language (we call it ‘Macaronic English’ in Italy ) with her cosmos concentrated in her hands as kinda microphone! While Kydoimos instantly falls in love listening to her “suave chant”, the Greek soldiers can’t stand that unbearable voice: the Athenian Saint Cetus Amynias hits Kyd’s ship (so that he dies drowned) while trying to reach and defeat Ker. Here it starts a mythological chase in which Ker sinks many Persian ships to escape and save her ass… You all know how Salamina ended, do you?! __________ The inspiration for this uncommon character, her physiognomy, as well as her description and characteristic language in the fanromance, is a tribute to the trash youtuber Gemma del Sud, who became notorious in Italy for releasing a long series of videos in wich she pretended to be a great singer, stylist and showgirl, although she never did exhibited any particular skill… Even if she possibly played the looser just to mock and provoque the Italian star-system, she attracted a horde of haters, until she just disappeared from the web. She had a motto too: "Vi rrrrode?!" (transl. "You grudging?!" or “You messing with me?!”, pronounced with a hard stress mark).  “ - Sekishiki

Megabazos is the reincarnation of Ares’ ally Kydoimos “the Chaos of Battle”(or “the din/noise of battle”) and wears the sarkr of the Wild Boar, one of the animals sacred to the god of bloody war. He’s one of the 4 Generals of Xerxes/Ares, and leads part of the Berserker navy troops, just as Ker “the Violent Death”. He appears at Cape Artemision battleship but, despite his military rank, in this volume we see him involved in the famous battleship of Salamina for a few lines only. He will die drowned at the very beginning of the conflict, absent-minded by Ker’s “suave chant” and instantly fallen for her: the Athenian Saint Cetus Amynias hits his ship full while trying to reach and defeat Ker. __________ The inspiration for this messy character, his physiognomy, as well as his description and characteristic language in the fanromance, is a tribute to the trash youtuber Giuseppe Simone, who became notorious in Italy for releasing a long series of videos in wich he demanded sex at first, then started insulting and abusing the female gender! His rudeness, foul language, provocations and misogyny attracted a lot of disappointment, but also sympathy. His pose here mimics his unforgettable motto “ Monella!!!” (transl. “You naughty girl!!!”).  “ -Sekishiki
