Deltarune Power Levels???
Found out about Lambdarune today (for those not aware, a very cool Deltarune AU-turned-fangame release in sections representing various parts of its chapters).
And first, I found the fangame itself really fun to watch (still have to play! No time these days, but watched a bunch of videos). I liked the various concepts, even if now after the release of Chapter 3 the AUs about concepts of Ch3+ conceptualized before the release of the real one all seem weird because of how far off from expectations the base game ended up going, through no fault of their own mind you.
But then I looked at the wiki, and:
Important premise 1: I respect the HELL out of the team behind it! For the creative effort and passion behind it, sprites and concepts are really cool (not only talking about the game itself here). As a maker of fanstuff (mods) for other things, I couldn't not think this. People creating stuff for nothing but their own passion is always amazing
Important premise 2: This is not a matter of objectivity, but personal taste. I generally prefer fan things either fit the mood of the original, even if it has wildly different ideas, or that go in a completely and clearly different direction, while many Pre-Ch3 (and likely post-ch3 but pre-Ch5, once that comes out) Deltarune AUs are in the inbetween place I can't vibe that much with
All of that being said: what do you mean there are power levels? And in general it gets way more cosmic than I'd expect anything based on UTDR to be, but oh well
Will still follow the next releases, but lol
Post end, there was no real point to this other than expressing to the void how seeing power levels hit me with a sledgehammer in the head (and all that premise to avoid sounding like an asshole against genuine creatives, while genuine, made this more of a wall of text than necessary lmao)
I was at Youtube and see that video
This video take my attention.I really like Zet's Deltarune oc .The video belongs the Zet by the way.
the lambdarune ch.3 inst.1 demo was fun, susie is written a little wonkily, and the mild swearing is overused compared to how it is in deltarune, but overall it was fun.

(133) LAMBDARUNE
I'm so glad people haven't given up on fan chapter concepts. I know many stopped after chapters 3 and 4 came out, I think RV pines is still going, but I personally love seeing people's imagination on alternate stories for Deltarune. And I really like how this fangame formats it. It's not a full game, it small segments of the au, showcasing characters, shops, and cutscenes. I do wish there was more as I feel like I need a tiny bit more to fully grasp this story, even if it's told in pieces, but it's still solid. The second update has actual fights, and these were all fun. They have a mid-boss, main boss, and this au's chapter 3 secret boss. The secret boss is incredible. The mechanics the music, the bullet patterns, it's so creative.
And then the epilogue showcasing a teaser of this au's chapter 4, is immediately intriguing. The "Knight" does something really clever to the player's soul, it was really cool. Not sure who he is in this au, I'm thinking it's going to be Gaster from the way he speaks, but there's not enough there to fully conclude anything. Interested to learn more and what they are planning in this au.
Lambdarune is great, and worth checking out. I can't wait for the future updates.
