I always thought the switch from “Vortigaunts are expendable mob” to “they’re the allies of humanity” was too instantaneous between HL1 and HL2. I wondered a lot if Gordon had ever been contacted by them during the events of Half-Life 1. This is how I imagine the first nudge towards his realization that these creatures might be forced to act against their own will.

After waiting a whole month I can finally show off the entire 2-page illustration I did for the Half Life Charity zine! I think I spent a month making this, too.

This was fantastic to be involved with, and I’m so pleased about the money we raised for the Autistic Self-Advocacy Network, the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World, and the World Health Organization COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
