â people want to be happy. â // daniel
answered.
"course they do." billie doesn't know what makes her happy. if you ask her, she'll list things. her booze, her cigarettes, her stash of snacks. little moments of gratification that put a smile on her face. that's the obvious answer, isn't it? she fluctuates between her many moods. she's easy to anger and just as quick to let bygons be bygons, if the price is right.
"who doesn't want to be happy?" her trust flask is retrieved from her bag. it's never known a day of emptiness; billie just couldn't take it. she takes a concerningly long gulp before drying her lips with the back of her hand.
beneath her fluttery exterior, billie is a woman of substance. what the material is is questionable, but it's sticky and warm, and perhaps left out in the sun for too long. it festers and bubbles deep in her belly, buried from outside eye or influence.
the outer layer is like ... nougat. brittle, and easy to get dirty if you drop it on the floor.
"what makes you happy, since yer the one bringin' it up?" she swishes her flask in her hand. notably, billie does not offer a sip to the offer.
