Rainbow over Round Pond this afternoon! It lasted for only a minute, but long enough to pull a camera out of my pocket. Then we paddled through the channel and were greeted by one of the resident eagles, whom we have dubber “Ernest,” perched high in a tree on Discovery Island. He vigorously cleaned his wings for our entertainment for ten minutes. Then the clouds returned, we shivered and headed back to the dock, and the rain started again. But for just a short 20 minutes, the lake worked its magic!Â
