I just love like you people talk that ADHD is just take a pill and get better! Well it doesn't work like that! And the medication can sometimes make you worst, and the side effects are NOT funny, for those of you who doesn't know some of the effects of Ritalina are: "delusions", "psicotics breaks", "allucinations", "panic attacks", "depression", "suicide thoughts", and last not forget my favourite of then all: "Sudden DEATH" ❤ Yeah, I'm not taking that ever again.
Yeah, it sucks. I’ve tried Ritalin, Elvanse and Attentin. Ritalin started off okay, and there’s no way I would have survived my first semester of university without it, but then shit happened and the side effects became unbearable. So I switched to Elvanse. Same problem. So I switched to Attentin. And it was even worse, so I stopped.
Though my side effects were nothing like those you listed. At all. It was mostly stomach related. Some dry mouth and heart palpitations at the very beginning, but that went away.
Despite that hell though, I still wanna try Strattera or Wellbutrin or Intuniv, because I think there’s a chance those will have minimal side effects. Also I had to drop out in my fourth semester because I couldn’t do uni without meds.
Although I made it through my first year at my second uni without meds, I’m really worried about my second year, which starts in less than a month. But lol, the reason I didn’t get around to trying new meds this summer is... you guessed it, ADHD.
