⊰ 🌸 ⊱: — Oh fantastic. The woman she did not wish to see so fast. “ M-My Lady..” came her timid speech with a slight bow. 

The feeble light that entered the room was barely enough to be considered natural. It was dark and only thin dusty strands of the sun’s rays pooled in through the gaps in the shutters, casting strange shadows across the wooden floor.

In the centre of the room was a lone chair, its occupant appearing half asleep as he stared at the chess board set upon the table before him. It had been played, the white stones having won, but who was the other player? It didn’t really matter.

The marquis turned his attention towards his visitor, obsidian curls cascading over his shoulders and his earrings chiming with the movement of his head. He was young it appeared and yet he was supporting himself on a walking stick.

"You can come in, I don’t bite, my Lady" He smiled faintly, his gaze focused upon the game still, a crystalline blue which heavily contrasted his left golden eye.

The hours of dusk soon filled the sky with an array of beautiful colors. Orange, blue, red, yellow and white made everything seem that this war would end soon so that many people would enjoy the same scenery without having a worry in the world. The bright moon would slowly make an entrance on the opposite side, filling in some dark spots that the colors could not reach. A good crowd of people were still out and about, enjoying themselves in the late hours. It was a night that didn't happen so often but when it did, it brought back prosperity, convivial, and love back to the people and to the kingdom of Wu.

Yes everything seemed great for everyone, all except for one man. A man who did not show much emotion. A man who rarely interacted with people. The bodyguard of the ruler of Wu, Zhou Tai. And why does this silent man not show anything you ask? It was due to past events that had caused him such great affliction. But perhaps this night may change all of that, it perhaps might bring back his old self, the person who everyone could like instead of fear. 

No one really talked with the silent bodyguard. Either he was busy, or he just didn't want to talk. The night was a bit nippy, but no one seemed to care about it. As Zhou Tai made his way down the somewhat busy street, people seemed to quiet down a bit. They were either showing respect, or just showing fear. Zhou Tai did not want people to stop what they were doing while he was present. The silent warrior worked hard to give these people some peace and to not have to worry about the war. 

The noise behind his back began to grow louder as his figure faded out of their perception. As he moved though, the noise of the city soon vanished from his heed. Chirping crickets and other small bugs were the only sounds touching his hearing. Zhou Tai had reached the outskirts of the city now, making his way towards the dock. Along his selected path the silent general plucked a Musk Mallow, a dark purple flower that seemed to grow in this part of land. Sable orbs were fixated on this flower, remembering a certain someone that he surely missed. 

The dock was now in full view. The colors of the sky were replaced by the moon's light. The water sparkled as the light reflected off of it's surface. This particular area brought back a memory that he would always cherish. It was about the same time that a blissful moment was shared between himself and a woman from another land. Someone that for the first time in a very long time made him feel love again. Everyday, he wished she would return to him. Was this what they called a forbidden love? 

One foot after the other, the sound of someone walking upon the wooden dock filled the air. They stopped after a few moments. The silent general stood tall at the edge of the dock, looking down at the waters as his reflection moved with the ripples. It had been quite a long time since he was here. The memory that was playing in his head was now showing itself in the water. So much time had past since that day. The war has caused so many people to get hurt. Luckily he had never encountered her on the battlefield. 

Zhou Tai took a deep breath in and let it back out, his eyes fixated on the water. His whole life was revolved around water. It seemed like it was the only thing that understood how he was feeling. The only thought that was on his mind was the return of her. What would happen when they meet each other again? How long would they be together before they needed to be separated once more? So many questions that needed to be answered. 

"I still feel like you're by my side..even if you are gone now.." the silent general quoted to himself. A sudden burst of chilled air rushed by and lasted for a few seconds. "Soon..when this is all over..there won't be anyone to stop our feelings to each other..they can't even stop it now.."
