As a girl new to skateboarding, this rustles the jimmies.
Girls/Ladies/vaginas cannot sk8 because they get sweaty and hurt.
This isn't a direct attack on Nyjah Houston, but a glimpse into the mindset that females should be protected, unblemished, and put upon that proverbial pedestal. Some ladies like that old-school chivalry, and prefer to be treated as a queen/goddess/whathaveyou. It's probably how the ladies in his life expected him to treat them. I hate it, because I like to get my knees scratched up, I like to be sweaty and feel exhausted after a tough workout. I love each an every scar that I've earned the right to wear on my body. It makes me sad that someone I've looked up to would look down on me/my choice to emulate him. Good thing I'll probably never meet him. :( /longsoapboxrant
