May I request Nora-Weiss for the pallette swap~?
Nordic Winter for you
Nora is now the Ice Queen of the castle, and Weiss just looks like A Friend
2001 for films
send me a year and i'll tell you my favourite movie of that year
Ah, 2001. The first time I saw a film in theatres.
It was Jurassic Park III. My teenager sister took me to see it.
Probably a bad choice for multiple reasons.
I remember a lot of kid's movies from this year, lots of them were in rotation in my household. Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Monsters Inc, Shrek, Cats and Dogs, Spy Kids. Very good year for kids movies.
Besides that, some real fun movies that year too. The Mummy Returns is good, but unfortunately it's legacy is simply "Bad CGI Rock". The Knight's Tale is a great film, as is Moulin Rouge! I've also never forgotten The 51st State, released in the US as Formula 51, which is a film where criminal chemist Samuel L. Jackson goes to Liverpool, wears a kilt, and is taught the nuances of the word "bollocks".
Legally Blonde and The Princess Diaries are naturally iconic, and John Carpenter's Ghosts of Mars is a fun dumb action-horror.
And, of course, everyone's favourite fantasy story featuring wizards premiered it's first film this year: Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
But ultimate, what has been my favourite film of 2001 for decades has to be Evolution. The sci-fi comedy starring David Duchovny, Orlando Jones, Julianne Moore and Sean William Scott. Fucking brilliant movie. So many iconic moments. From luring an alien dragon into a trap with bad karaoke, to the emergency surgery to get the bug out, to the shoplifting woman who gets saved and swears never to shoplift again, and the fucking Head and Shoulders ad oh god.
I love that movie.
I imagine that Penny would upgrade her body with heating pads so she could give her girlfriends the warmest, toastiest hugs possible~
They both are walking gf heaters.
So the trailer showed us a lot, but one thing we saw was Salem, and that could mean 3 things:
This confirms that we're gonna be seeing what's happening outside of wonderland in Remnant and it's not gonna be all island.
This Salem is some sort of illusion, either made by the island or Neo.
Somehow, Salem has access to the island and is trying to stop the group personally.
I kinda hope for 1 but I'm pretty sure its gonna be 2.
i mean, it's definitely salem's face, but the body doesn't look like hers
i honestly don't know what to think. the general weirdness of it—the effects and such—makes me think it's some ever after wackiness afoot, but who knows. it's definitely the safer bet, that's for sure.

It's not just body and voice for me, you're complete transition goals for me~
If my transition goes even half as amazingly as yours has I'd be a very happy woman~
Your transition is going to go BEAUTIFULLY and I wish you all the happiness in the world! <3
That Ruby/Penny comic reminded me a lot of that scene in Dr Who when the Doctor contemplates giving up, and the memory of Clara tells him to get up, and win.
I haven't seen Dr. Who but I do wish we get a Ruby/Penny scene in a similar vein ; w ; (but of course it's because Penny is alive--)
Speaking of Xion, do you ever really think about Axel's last talk to Xion? How he knows Xion wants to go back to Sora, how he even says hes known from the beginning it's the right choice, but he's so adamant on not losing his friend that he's willing to fight just to bring her back? Cause I think about that scene all the time.
Yeah, I think about that a lot too. It's such an important part of the 358/2 Days finale, but in my experience it tends to be overshadowed by everything else that goes on during those last four days (and it doesn't help that we don't even see the Axel vs. Xion fight happen).
The thing is, when Axel says that? He's telling Xion he thought she should've gone back to Sora since before they even became friends. And it's worth noting that he doesn't say he used to think that was what was best. He still believes that Xion returning to Sora is the right thing to do. He also knows the Organization isn't a safe place for Xion anymore—or for Roxas, for that matter, because at this point the Organization has already tried to get rid of them.
That doesn't stop him from trying to keep that friendship however he can.
But the tragedy is that it's already too late. Axel has no real options left. He's tried to keep both his friendships with Roxas and Xion and his position in the Organization, but everything he does to keep Roxas and Xion safe makes him less trustworthy in the eyes of the Organization, and his actions for the Organization are either endangering his friends or hurting their trust in him. If he keeps trying to play both sides, he's going to lose it all.
And I think by this point he realizes that.
Because yes, he fights Xion to bring her back to the Organization, but it's not really about his orders anymore. His only real concern is that they'll destroy Xion if he doesn't get her back. That's why he fights her, and that's why he brings her back to Xemnas despite knowing it's not the best thing to do. (That's also the reason he tries to stop Roxas from leaving the day before.)
But unfortunately by then the damage is already done, and that's the last time Axel sees Xion before KH3.
And it breaks my heart.
(As a side note, if you haven't seen how this scene is done in Everglow's Kingdom Hearts Timeline, you should. The way it handles Days 355-358 somehow makes it an even more tragic and heartbreaking experience. It also includes the Xion vs Axel fight that even the original game skipped over, and while I don't want to spoil the experience if you haven't seen it yet, there are a couple phenomenal editing choices for that fight that make it hit even harder.)
