i’ve heard tips like obviously not making the eyes freakishly large and whatnot, and i’ve searched high and low for QR codes that i could tweak to fit my MC better, but to no avail ;-;
half the QRs out there make MC look like a baby or super strange from the side, but side profile is like the biggest issue for my MC anyway T^T How are you all so talented please share your wisdom i want to have my MC take cute lil photos too ughhh

The strategy I use to save:
No pulling for solo banners, unless they give free 10 wishes. (Because they expire fast)
Ranking up cards, and getting 3 star in main story battles
Birthday cards: unless it's your main, don't pull. They will be tempting, but there will be a new myth releasing soon.
UNICORN: that's a hoard of diamonds if you actually invest time in it.
You can actually get around 3800 dia in a month if you save wisely.
Daily tasks: 1500,
Weekly tasks: 600,
Monthly login: 200,
Estimated bonus: 300
You can seriously save dia.. it will take time and the will power to say no to few events...

If you're happy with not ranking up the cards to R3, this is the best option you have to get the companion, and enjoy the story.. it won't glow like a rainbow.. at least you'll see him with you..

So back during Rafayel's birthday I was really struggling with FOMO with his first years birthday card. It took me 110 pulls to get this years memory, and I put another 110 to his old birthday memory and I was at 8k diamonds crying how I was going to miss out on his first year birthday card. Yes, he took me 3 times to hard pity and lost both 50/50s.
Then I decided to make a priority list for myself since I only pull for Rafayel and realised I really should keep my pity for whatever is coming next for a rerun.
I have watched all of these on Youtube, but of course I want to own them all. But this list put everything to perspective for me - I can't miss Sea God. I realised that card was probably the lowest priority for me out of all his memories, so I stopped at 26 pity with guarantee for the rerun banner.
A lot of FOMO can be fought off with some planning - determine what cards are the most important to you and why. and how willing are you to miss out on those cards. For me, the old cards actually hold more combat/collection value rather than I would want them for the story. Of course this could be different for you, and that's okay! As long as you can make your own list and priorities, it's easier to shift your focus on the cards you find important. The FOMO will suck as always, but hopefully this would make it easier to skip certain banners you don't need at all.
If you're curious about my list, here's my reasoning:
A quick note since some might wonder - me considering the talents is just me being very much into optimizing teams with my cards. For normal players, matching the colors and using 5* cards over 4* cards is good enough.
Sea God - I just need it and want it, I'm stuck at his orbits for pink AGAIN and it would help me a lot. Also I just love this myth so much and his outfit, so it's non-negoatible for me.
Tipsy Invitation vs. Fireworks Vow - Combat wise they are the same card (Pink ATK talent) so in that regard both are good cards, I just prefer Tipsy Invitation's kindled over Fireworks Vow, yes I'm weak for the spice 🫣
Whispers - It's equilevant to Your Fragrance (Purple ATK talent), so I would love to get it to boost my purple teams with Abysswalker.
Private Trip - It's Pink HP talent, so it gets bumped up to same category with me being a combat nerd and getting God of Tides.
Unforgettable Adventure and Floral Promise - Technically FP would be good as well with it's HP talent, but I rarely see teams that require me to use pink majority with purple as secondary, mostly only in SHC, so I think I'm good with having just YF in there instead. I'm still slightly salty about UA being the only ATK talent yellow card for him, but it's a rare color. Both stories are great, but both land for me in a zone that I'm too spoiled with the new memories to really consider the stories must have for myself. I would love to get a 100% collection for Raf though 🥰
As I mentioned, this can be different for you and that's okay! The important part is to recognize what YOU want to save for so you don't overspend your diamonds on cards that have less meaning for you.
