Alarms blared, bulkheads and vents sealed, and turrets came on standby. Something had cause a stir in the base, but what remained to be seen. All Seris knew is its meditation had been disturbed. With a weary sigh, it made its way through to the control room, following the instructions Toaster had given it and activating the terminal.
"Kaiser, whatever is the matter? Is this another of your drills?" It queried, glancing at the green symbol displayed on the screen.
"Negative. We have detected an unidentified life form outside of entryway four. Following new emergency protocols we have entered lockdown phase one until Toaster returns." The AI explained, bringing up a display of one of the security feeds. "Life form appears to be human, how it got here is unknown."
The elder being squinted at the screen. It looked human yes, but it didn't feel human... Its tail swished as it spoke again. "Unlock the door Kaiser. I am going to meet this human on entryway four." It announced, turning away and heading towards the lower levels.
After a few minutes, the bulkhead opened, and the being stood before the human, peering down at them with some level of curiosity. "Greetings human. Might I ask why you have graced us with your presence?"
