The Hiveswap/Friendsim trolls are certainly around! Theyāre older than Karkatās generation (and several of them might be seen as role models in anĀ āOMG YOUāRE SO COOLā way), but younger than Kankriās, and likely donāt harbor much mistrust for humans. They might have been raised largely away from humans, though, unlike Karkat and friends, so humans are kind of a novel thing for them! They donāt generally see them as a threat. Generally they find those strange and tiny soft-bodied beings rather sweet and huggable.
Given the much softer approach Labbound takes, the more violent or unsavory aspects of them are likely not there, or heavily downplayed; Amisia doesnāt need blood to paint, for instance, and the church of the mirthful messiahs is not really a thing so Chahut is not as violent as in canon (and this goes for purples in general, most likely). Konyyl might be a bodyguard for hire, rather than an assassin, and so on.
some general thoughts for them:
Xefros is part of the Harley family in all but name, having been dating the heir to the family fortune, Joey Claire-Harley, and indirectly proving that troll/human relationships are feasible without needing assistance or alteration.
Konyyl is big and thicc even by their usual standards, and forms a kind of looseĀ āprideā-type group with Nepeta and Polypa. Nepeta grew up admiring Konyyl as a real role model and heroine, and in turn Konyyl is doing her best not to disappoint her and to be cool all the time. The three of them often wind up extremely pregnant and their resulting grub hordes are about the same age! Usually with their respective boys in tow and at their side.
Bronya is a dedicated broodmother, having spent much time tending to others grubs, and sheās pretty dang fertile herself. She was actually present during the childhoods of Tereziās generation, and these younger trolls regard her as a warm and maternal figure that has always been a fixture in their lives. She herself greatly admires the Dolorosa and the Signlessā efforts in civil rights for their people, and low-key follows their example.
Chahut lives underground in a huge subway station converted into a commune for trolls, administered by purplebloods; she has been a proper troll mother for a long time and does not intend to slim back down any time soon, often sporting breasts so large she is both able to feed pretty much all the grubs always at once, and would not be able to move easily if not for her immense strength. Amisia is a permanent guest of hers in the lair, and they are rarely seen apart.
Trizza is involved in a complicated and even bitter feud with the Condesce - whom sees her as a potential protege who is too much like her and it just pisses them both off - on one side, Meenah and Feferi at another, and finally against Jane, whom she sees as having usurped her position as Old Meenahās Favorite.
