Hi! Ah, I think my asks keep getting eaten. I've sent a few over the course of the last couple of months, so here's to hoping that this one goes through! I was wondering what your opinion of Bodyline's l482 is? I positively fell in love with the matching bag (bag 185) and I was planning to get both in black! But I'm worried about the skirt and how it looks a bit shiny. I was told to study the skirts carefully, and the 'polyester cotton others' part has me worried. Can you help please? ;n;
I think both are really cute and that print is really adorable, but I donât know if I would use the bag and skirt together. I just feel like the bag would disappear and that it would be better to use a bag that compliments the skirt but doesnât blend in with it. Now of course that doesnât mean that you canât get the bag and use it with other things, I have two AP print totes and I like to carry them outside of Lolita just to add a fun detail to outfits.As for the fabric, it really isnât very shiny at all, Bodyline is just notorious for taking bad stock photos. âPolyester cotton othersâ just means that itâs made of polyester, cotton, and something else. A lot of Bodylineâs pieces just say âpolyester others.â The skirt itself is probably polyester which doesnât automatically make something bad! There are varying degrees of quality that polyester can come in and Bodylineâs usually isnât too bad these days. It has improved a lot over the years but sometimes youâll still find it in use in some sections like their âseparatesâ section which I usually recommend avoiding because they use lower quality materials so they can charge less for a whole outfit. Iâm not sure where the cotton comes into play in this case, possibly the lace but I canât find a good enough close-up picture of it to tell. The âothersâ would then be things like the little pearls on the bow.
