Where were you? You look around, you are in a forest pond with a bunch of picnic blankets with food and drinks on top of it. There were children running and playing around.
You were wearing a beautiful cream dress and your hair had a flower crown from the children. You smile at them and you carry a small kid talking to them.
Soon, you spot a familiar figure. You squinted at first, but as the figure got closer, you knew who it wasβ¦
βMichael?β You took a step closer as he got closer. He said nothing but smiled.
βMichael!β You tear up it was too much. You wanted to know where you are but at the same time you finally got to see him. You ran up to him to hug him. He held you tightly, patting your hair as you cried in his arms.
You finally let go and took one more look at him. It was real, it was the actual Michael Jackson.
You two sat down on the picnic blanket. βHow are you Michael?β You ask him. He didnβt look like he aged. βYou know a lot of people miss you.β You say as you take a sip of the apple juice.
βI know. I wish I could tell them I miss them all too.β He looks at you.
βIβm sure they know Michael. A lot of things have changed since you left.β You tell him. βThe world has gone to waste, equality is terrible, racism has gotten worse, pollution has gotten 10x worse. The press and tabloids have also gotten worse. Life in general has gotten bad.β You say as you look away.
βWell, how are you holding on?β He asks you and in return you laugh, but you know you wouldnβt be able to lie. βIβm in my last year of college under music education. I will graduate soon.β You sigh.
βThatβs good.β He smiles, gosh that smile that you love to see on him. βI have been doing good too. I actually have fun playing with the kids here. I get the freedom I want and no one judges me. I love spending time with everybody here.β He tells you and that makes you smile.
βIs orange juice still your favorite drink?β You giggle as you ask him, in return he tickles you which makes you laugh more. βOf course I do! Orange juice will always be my go to.β
You played twister with him and the kids. Soon enough, the moon replaced the sun and the light left. Michael and the other kids walked you to their big mansion. It was white, it looked so pretty.
βCome on in.β He says as he laughs at you looking at awe.
Everyone had dinner and Michael tucked every kid to bed, read them bed time stories which made you very emotional. You wished he was able to do it to his own children much more.
You were on the balcony of the mansion, looking at the stars. When footsteps came behind. βAre you okay?β He asks, and you shake your head no.
βI just want you to know that I am proud of everything you achieved in your life. I want you to also know that your family is still keeping your legacy. They made a biopic about you.β You tell him and you smile tearing up. βYour three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket are all grown up now. I wish you were there to see their achievements in life, you were the best father they could all ask for and they all miss you and love you so much.β He hugs you tightly, you can feel him tearing up, and shaking too.
βIβm proud of you for fighting for your life against your father. Iβm glad you fought til the end, and I hope now that you are here somewhere peaceful, somewhere you are comfortable and somewhere you feel loved, I hope you donβt forget to love yourself like you love others. Also, know that you are perfect now. No one will be able to judge you for anything you do.β You say as you cry in his arms.
βThank you so much..β Michael says as he hugs you tightly. You gently look at him. It looks like a lot of weight on his shoulders just dropped and you gently wipe his tears away with your thumb.
The time was civil and out of nowhere a shining door came down the grassy field, just below the balcony. The two of you go down to see what it is.
You walked over and you were able to touch the door. Michael on the other hand had this barrier between him and the door. You look at him. βI think it's time for me to goβ¦β You tell him frowning.
He hugs you one last time, he didnβt want you to go.
You twist the doorknob opening the door, but you think about it before actually stepping.
βIs it still worth it?β Was the question in your head?
You breathe slowly before closing the door and running back to Michael. βI canβt. Iβd rather live here than there.β You say as you catch your breath.
βAre you sure?β He asks you and in return you nod.
The door soon disappears and the sunrise comes out.
