It’s a pretty cute dress but personally I like it better with the capelet, at least if you’re wearing it with the long sleeves. With the long sleeves and no capelet I think there’s just something weird about how it looks, like it’s missing something. Maybe it’s because the sleeves are a different color and with the capelet it looks like you could be wearing a blouse under a JSK but when you take off the capelet it becomes clear that it’s all one piece and that throws it off. I think without the capelet it’s better suited to be worn with just the short sleeves.

My latest OP came today- It's got a capelet, headbow and detachable sleeves too! I'm hoping I can make a nice old school coord with it 💕 I think I'll make the bottom bows removable as they might be a bit much all the time. #sweetlolita #oldschoollolita #bodyline #bodylineyokoso #l082

I think it's cute for a very old school look.

It’s a cute dress, but the black version wouldn’t be my first choice to recommend to a beginner because black and white can be difficult to pull off (but it’s not impossible so if you really love it I would say go for it, just be very careful when balancing the colors and choosing quality items to coordinate with it.) Between sax and pink, I would personally choose the pink just because I think that particular shade of pink is adorable.
