And a Now Magazine shoutout to SHHHHH over here >> https://nowtoronto.com/music/features/two-indie-music-festivals-put-diversity-first/
“Kyle Knapp of the band Deliluh and the label Raw Materials planned the SHHHH music fest to address the lack of diversity he’s seen on other festival bills, and he set it in an unconventional space: the Parkdale Library.
“The library is a hub, and it’s a lot of different things for a lot of different people, whether it’s someone looking for a job or a kid who needs to be occupied after school,” he says.
His aim is to take advantage of that welcoming space to make the music more accessible than in bars, clubs or basements…
This is the second consecutive year for SHHHH, which helped launch the Parkdale branch’s instrument lending library last year. The experimental acts set to play this year include Kat Estacio (of Pantayo), Carl Didur, Bodies that Matter, Deenzi and a host of others. The two-day festival also aims to be accessible in another way: both shows take place in the early afternoon and evening.”

Left & Right – Low Expectations (Music Video)
Left & Right‘s Five Year Plan will likely come to be regarded as one of 2014’s most under-appreciated releases. Available now is a limited-run cassette from Infinity Cat Recordings’ ongoing series, it’s a record entirely devoid of weak songs. Full of unrestrained punk blitzes that build momentum until momentum’s no longer an issue, it’s the kind of release most bands bands operating in the genre…

Old Hundred is a folk rock band from Columbus with a new full length album, Let In The Light, releasing this Friday on Wide-Eyed. They've also unleashed an animated video for pastoral, nostalgia laden album track Casey. The jangly, earnest song carries hints of Fleet Foxes, Wilco, and The Shins. Watch the video below, animated and directed by Kyle Knapp.
