a Basket of food appeared on the chef's table with a handwritten a note for Elijah from his secret admirer. The basket included plates handcrafted specially etched With Elijah on the plates and black angel wings on the Bowls and the silverware was created from Angel blades. Knowing that there needed to be some food the basket had three fresh made version of apple pie. along with chicken and beef pot pie. " Hope that you enjoy your lunch Thinking of you as always your secret admirer. "
Elijah was more then a little shocked to walk into the room and see the basket sitting there, especially since he had just left it for a moment. He moved closer to inspect it and its contents, a smile crossed his lips as he read the note. He had just started to unpack the contents of the basket when the other two in the home came into the room.
Claire tipped her head. "What is all this?"
Kyle walked around and managed to snag the card before his father could stop him. "It seems like our father here has a secret admirer."
Claire's face lit up in a smile. "Really? That's awesome. Do you have any ideas on who it could be?"
"A couple." Elijah replied as he looked to the twins. "How are you two feeling about that?..." He was actually worried seeing as they were his kids and they both could be very opinionated, one more then the other.
"Well obviously I would like to meet who ever it is, whither you find the secret admirer or just started dating in general. You spend a lot of time taking care of other people so as long as you are happy and aren't being hurt then I'm happy for you." Claire smiled at her father.
Kyle shrugged. "Suck up..." he spoke under his breath, which got his sister to stomp his foot. He glared at her before looking again to his father. "Why does it matter what we think or feel? Legally we are adults."
Elijah took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "Kyle, I don't care if you are 18 or 327 you are still and always will be my kids and your opinions will always matter to me."
"So if I were to say that I wouldn't feel comfortable with you dating...you wouldn't? And Claire and me are rarely home so if you did start seeing someone...you are saying you would stop if we didn't like them?"
Elijah nodded to his son. "Exactly. I would rather not jeopardize the relationship that I have built with you two for something that may or may not work."
Kyle bit his bottom lip and dipped his head once. "I see..." He could see the kind of sacrifice that was and how willingly his father would do it so perhaps it was his turn to give a little bit. "I think that I would have to meet him or her before I made that kind of judgment."
Elijah smiled upon hearing that. "Thank you." While they had been talking he had set out the food that was in the basket. "If you guys would like to join me I think our first judgment should come from their ability to cook." Elijah laughed softly.
Both the twins smiled at that before agreeing. So the three of them sat down to lunch.
