Liho purred deeply, tail flicking from side to side as she lay in a beam of sunlight, dozing on and off. 

“Now, I know you’re probably thinking ‘I work alone’ -- I know that because it's literally word for word what every one of us said when we first started this crazy thing. But there are a lot of surprising benefits to going (fake) corporate! Dental plans, investment opportunities, being able to tell normal people you work for a totally real company, cute business cards... so whaddaya say?” He paused to scratch the back of his neck. “Also, ah, maybe decide quickly, because we sort of need a grifter for tonight.”

Landing on protected planet was asking for trouble. Getting into a pissing match with a bunch of Badoon bastards over said planet and getting shot down? Even worse. Yondu pointedly decided that he was getting way too damn old for this shit as he came awake. His head was pounding and he reached up to brush his fingers along the line of blood, dribbling from his temple. “ Flark...”  The console flashed and screeched at him, and it was then that he realized the entire ship was buried nose first in the dirt, canted to one side.  “ Stars damned badoon,” he hissed and wrinkled his nose in irritation. When he unfastened himself, he ended up in a heap on the floor, or the glass at least.  The Mship had crash landed in the dead of night into a forest. It’s Captain was almost as beaten as the bird itself.
