Do the storylines for the MCs in kids who play in the dark eventually intersect? Is there a point they all realize they're seeing the same bizarre woman and try to investigate why?

Yes! They do indeed. I've actually been working on a updated intro to KWPITD because a few plot changes have come about
One mainly that the storylines between characters overlap a lot sooner than I initially planned.
But yes, the plan is for everyone to eventually meet up. It's actually started to (this ain't spoilers btw) look like between everyone there's going to be two groups that intersect first, then all six are gonna meet.
