Omg is it strange if I’m rooting for Jae Hee at the end?? I didn’t want him to die because it feels like there’s still so much we have yet to know about him. I feel like I didn’t receive proper closure ): I would have so liked to understand more about Jae Hee’s back story such as what people did to him that fuelled his desire to kill. Did he try for a while to fit in with others only to be rejected, ridiculed and abused? Or was he always an introvert that didn’t understand how social relationships work and was thus outcasted? What happened during the psychological test that caused him to drop out of medical school? Why does he not like touching bodies? Does physical contact remind him of the abuse he experienced? When was his first murder (which was relatively unexplored and unknown to some other than Cho Rim’s foster father) and why did he do it? What were his thoughts on his murders and the reasons for his obsession with books and barcodes? There are so many questions I feel the drama did not answer satisfactorily. And no, short statements by Jae Hee when he answered Lieutenant Yeom in the torture chamber DOES NOT count as explanation show me more!! I was hopeful in episode 15 when Jae Hee said he would answer all questions that we would get answers to all these questions BUT NO the interrogation scene was so brief?! Does everything end with Kwon Jae Hee’s death? Just because he died doesn’t mean the case is “perfectly solved”.I’d so like to understand his thought process and motivations. This mystery is the most intriguing part of the show and is what differentiates this drama from other romantic comedies and I am just so so disappointed that the writers did not build on this potential the drama had and just allowed it to become like any other romantic comedy towards the end. ): So many questions unanswered and yet time is wasted on filler pieces. Do we really need to see Cho Rim and Moo Gak go hunt for wedding witnesses? I don’t think so??! They get married that’s it that’s enough. It’s cute, but I feel so frustrated knowing that this valuable screentime could be more wisely utilised. And you don’t go introducing another small crime case to fill up screen time when you have so much of the main conflict left unresolved DAMN IT!!!!!! (Ok I’m sorry I’m way too worked up about this) 

Also, did I mention how anti-climactic it is to build up the antagonist to be so powerful initially only to have him lose so terribly in a fist fight? Jae Hee freaking has abs and he works out!! He’s a relatively average sized man that managed to suppress all his victims easily; so how is it possible that in the rooftop fist fight with Moo Gak, Jae Hee was the only one being beaten up? Not just that, but after all that talk about letting Jae Hee receive proper punishment by the law, the drama just goes and kills him in an accidental fall. Jae Hee seriously went down way too easily for me to accept. We’re talking about a chain murderer that managed to dance his way around the police, create alibis and suppress his victims impressively using psychological methods (seeing as how none of them even try to fight back even though he doesn’t use physical force on them). We’re talking about someone that managed to think smart while being detained by the police, sink an ambulance and escape from it while being handcuffed. Yet he just falls off the building and dies??? Writers, what in the world are you guys doing ): I feel that many dramas make the same mistake, building up the antagonist to be so powerful at first, only to have them be so vulnerable and weak at the very last moment. I feel so freaking cheated. Please come up with a better, more realistic way to resolve the conflict. Accidental death is not always the answer. 

I really loved the proposal scene though because it is something unique to the drama’s characters (: It wouldn’t have worked for any other couple pairing;it only works because of Cho Rim’s ability to see smells. That’s good since that is one of the unique elements of the show which sadly I felt also faded into the background in the later episodes.
