β€οΈβ€οΈπ―βπΏβπΏβπΏβπΏ#Repost @desertdrop γ»γ»γ» Who else is super excited for Ghede season!?!?! Have you ever wondered why there are so many " death related holidays " during and around the month of November ? Such as Halloween, Day of the Dead, Fete des morts, And my favorite Ghede!!! Because the veil of communication between the living and the dead is thinner . It is a time to honor your ancestors the most and truly feel them . Ghede became part of my life without even knowing what it was... but I recall the visions clearly... the cemetery, the skulls, the dancing and the feeling of being protected by countless ancestors. I remember my first experience with Ghede... wow... I understood it all without ever knowing about it... How symbolic dancing is, how we have to protect the Spirit of the ancestors as they protect us!!! O I had never felt so protected in my entire life... and yet everything was supposed to scare me... the fusion between me and them is what made me realize how mutual the connection is and SHOULD be. Give them gratitude and respect and they give you bliss and protection. Our ancestors... where would we be without them? Who would we be without them? What would we know without them? I personally cannot wait ... and I know they cannot wait... it is such a beautiful gathering of energy... I can almost hear the whistles already and feel them dancing towards us... and my heart dances of excitement too... Are you counting down too? Lol#kwasoukwa#kwasenbo#kwa
