؟ YOUR MUSE LEFT THEIR BAG SOMEWHERE. MY MUSEUSED THE CONTENTS TO LOCATE THE OWNER AND RETURN THE BAG.
The concept of rummaging through someone else’s bagis abhorrent, and it’s taken her several minutesto decide for it. The bag had been left on the train, on the seat next to herown, but, since she always took little naps while on train to make up for thelate hours she went to bed at, she hadn’t noticed that until she’d reached thelast stop, her destination. She’d had to rush off, and, because there was noone nearby that could have claimed the bag, she took it with her, determined tofind out who it belonged to. But it is an awful lot easier in theory than in practice, and she feels as though everyone can see the word ‘THIEF’ stamped in big, bright letters on her forehead. It doesn’t matter that she hasn’t stolenanything.
The first thing she pulls out from the bag is anotebook – she’s glanced around for a while without noticing anything else thatcould be remotely helpful. She runs through the pages, not quite readinganything, until she finds a list of phone numbers, including one which she hopes is the one of the owner. There’sno phone in the bag, either, so she can hope they still have it with them.Maybe it’s going to work. So she pulls out her own cell phone, punches in thedigits and waits, every ring of the phone making her more and more nervous. What can she even say? I have your bag, comemeet me so I can give it back. Awkward enough.
