{Sorry for the late response but I had to think about this long and hard. I had to ultimately revist VHD lore/canon in order to find some headcanons I haven’t talked about on here. Sooooo here it goes. More vampire weaknesses in Vampire hunter D canon
D and Large bodies of water. Water in general
I have a dire need to address the D/water thing. In the Novels and Manga it is stated that D is very much able to swim and even survive in large bodies of water while other nobles would perish. But there are some notable side effects of D’s body touching water, and that side effect is his body temperature will immediately lower to that of a frozen corpse. Even him being caught out in the rain will do this.
Being caught in the rain, or in some lake will reduce his movement, making D a bit slower than usual but he doesn’t become paralyzed like his full fledged vampire brethren.
Roses in Vampire/vampire hunter D Lore
In some cultures and superstitions it is stated that Roses have been used to keep Vampires and other evil spirits at bay. The myths state that the thorns of a rose was used to keep vampires trapped in their coffins. In the Vampire hunter D bloodlust movie, in the beginning scenes we see The Vampire Noble, Meier Link decay some roses as his carriage passes through town due to roses being a weakness of the nobility.
Even in VHD lore it is said By Granny Viper (another dhampir) a rose can harm a vampire/dhampir if they dare touch a single petal, likening it to being burned by fire.}
