Hey nonny—thanks for the question! We have not considered setting up a discord server for this purpose, but we love the idea. Unfortunately, our mod team does not have time to setup and manage that kind of resource, what with our own irl schedules and rp priorities. But if another member of the krpc would like to take on a discord-specific resource, we would LOVE to support you! So thank you for the suggestion.

While we don't know of any existing krp discord resources, we do have some wonderful indie directory partners that you might find helpful:

Indie krp, which operates a community here on tumblr to help people find writing partners on all platforms;

IndieMewe, which is specifically for MeWe writers;

Hey there nonny! That's a valid concern and we hear you. It feels like there are a lot of rp's out there and that can be intimidating when you're looking to open something new. So let's see what we can do to help your nerves.

If we look at our roster of directory partners, we only have 19 active mewe rp's right now—which, when we look at how many mewe rp's we've had on our list through the year+few months we've been open, it usually averages out to about 24 at any given time. So we actually have fewer active mewe rp's open right now than we typically see. There are a few out there that we're not partnered with, but even with the ones we're aware of, we're still below our average count.

Of those 19 mewe rp's we're currently partnered with, 13 of them are gen, 5 of them are oc, and 1 of them is a full au.

We're making an assumption based on your ask that you're considering opening a gen rp, so let's break down the stats we have on our directory partners for you real quick. Of the 13 gen rp's we've got:

9 of them have a particular gimmick

8 are mixed literacy

4 are semi-lit

1 is literate

4 label themselves as mature

2 of them are omegaverse au's (but still considered gen)

Hopefully that little breakdown helps you see where your rp might fit into the mix right now. That said, if your concept is something you're passionate and excited about, and you're not just opening an rp to get the popular muse you want, it's our opinion that you should see it through regardless of what the current rp landscape looks like! There is always space for fresh and fun ideas, and we're here to help you get excited about bringing them to fruition.

Just remember—your rp doesn't need to be 100+ members strong to be successful. All you need are a few dedicated people that you can have fun and tell stories with. Carve out a space that you can be happy with and roleplayers will come. Especially if you make that space an engaging one that writers want to be in.

New month, new activity checks! Just like at the start of every month, we’ve gone through our directory to see which rp’s are still thriving and which ones have retired. So let’s raise a glass to our fallen communities and cheer on the new ones that are taking up their mantles 💜

Some updates from us this month:

Per usual, our directory list will be updated on the 4th while we do our monthly checkins with our active partners.

Later this month, we'll be launching a spring positivity campaign! We've been seeing a lot of negativity amongst the community lately, so we'll be making a small but conscious effort to try and bring some positive vibes back into your rp life so you can stop looking over your shoulder.

There's been some shuffling going on amongst our mods, and unfortunately we've lost access to our aff account. Whoops! We'll keep trying to regain access, but for now you can find our backup account at kr-ping_directory. We'll have our new page up shortly.

Our mods are currently still in the midst of their irl busy season (first quarter is BRUTAL), so we apologize for being a little slow! But we're still here, doing our best to balance irl and our muses on top of keeping this blog updated.
